As a Kentucky fan, of course, I want to keep winning, but we have already achieved more than expected since April. Anyone who doesn't appreciate what Pope has done, is either jealous or stupid. Win or lose today or next week, very happy with who leads our program
This.
There’ll be a lot of wishcasting for a loss because it’s the Rant. But Kentucky fans as a whole are happy with Pope and even with a loss today will continue to be.

The pressure is always there . Doesn’t matter what calapari has done .
Kentucky expects to be sweet 16 at minimum every year anyway

Yeah. I'm stoked with Pope.
The man just gets it.
While I never wished Cal ill will nor did I hold up go to Texas signs hahaha I wanted him to be anywhere but here.. he got so complacent and persnickety about everything toward the end.
The week they lost to Oakland they warmed up by going bowling and Coach doing podcast with Obama..not to mention the time he knelt for the anthem.
Was ready for a new approach in 2019. Matter fact me and my dad both looked at each other in 2012 and said I have a feeling he will never win another here. Final fours, yes. Then they dried up then the sweet 16 dried up by the end of it.. and he went 9-16 that time as well.
Sorry.. rant completed

Yeap typical KY fan that 2019/2020 season you were 9-1 your last 10 games and destined for a 1 seed before the tourney got cancelled. Can't imagine why Cal would want out....

I remember how Nolan left. Wasn’t pretty and similar to Cal’s situation in KY.
It happens. Seems like everyone is happy. Time to turn the page.

Click bait article. No pressure at all. As has already been discussed with multiple insecure fan threads
Go tell that to the fans on Rupp Rafters

They’re batshit no matter who is coach. Try not to take them too seriously.

No one is saying there aren’t irrational fans in the fanbase (like literally every fanbase). But the idea that by and large everyone hates Cal or would lose their minds if Pope doesn’t make the S16 isn’t just inaccurate, it’s wildly so.

No ill will towards Kentucky here. Hope they win today too. Both UA and UK are passionate fan bases.

Aren’t you the guy in a million threads about Kentucky fans? But I suppose that just proves how obsessed we are with you.

He is. He posts more about Kentucky than Arkansas. There are 3-4 of them like that.

Agreed. I’m normally not an SEC SEC person but I’m hoping all SEC teams win today (although I wouldn’t mind Florida losing to make our path easier) so we don’t have to hear about how overrated the SEC was.

Yep, I'm with ya'. If only UCon and Fla could both lose though.

Kentucky response tonight:
“Cal had our players and recruits, Pope had to go truly from scratch. Making the second round was amazing coaching.”

LOL, nonsense, pressure is on UK to get to at least the final 8 every year.
