My God, how many times do we have to rehash this?
Apparently as many times as it takes for you to realize that that isn’t nearly as big of a deal as you think it is and that LSU also has Auburn licked in other categories.

The mental gymnastics you people put yourselves through is amazing.
Not sure how you can look at your OP and think that WE are the gymnasts here. We’ve told you it’s a s simple as LSU having a better conference and overall record. RPI does count for SOMETHING, but is admittedly flawed and is not nearly as big a factor as you want it to be. That’s from the committee itself.
quote:
I’ve said numerous times they are deserving of a national seed. Not sure why you think otherwise.
Yet you’ve spent 7 pages arguing why Auburn deserves it over LSU because you played UGA and Ole Miss.

Don’t get swept twice and there wouldn’t be much of an argument now would there???

You just might be the best poster on this board. Always objective. Always bringing factual data. No hidden agendas.

He has brought a strong case against LSU being left out. The strongest case LSU has brought to this debate is “we are LSU”. Pretty damning, imo. I could see Auburn at 8 and LSU at 9 and you guys can settle it on the field
No… there has been numerous posts by LSU fans with data supporting why we won’t be left out. You just “choose” to ignore them.

I think they both get in the top 8 . Looks like they’ll play each other this weekend also

I’m not “choosing “ to ignore anything. I think it’s perfectly feasible that LSU is sitting at 5 right now with Auburn at 6. I don’t think it’s a slam dunk like lsu fans seem to think it is. Take that post by BigBro. It looks great with all the purple, but those top 4 are redundant, making it look farther away than it really is, and again, not a single person is saying lsu isn’t deserving…..

Make a case as to why LSU should be rated ahead of Auburn.

Exactly. He also highlights in purple the number of Quad 3 and 4 wins as if that’s some sort of accomplishment. He cleverly combines the number of Q1 and Q2 wins to show a tie and avoid showing Auburn has 2 more Quad 1 wins. He leaves out SOS all together as a category. And on the right side, it would make far more sense to switch out the placement of the Georgia and Vandy series under the Auburn column which would result in 16 wins for Auburn to 15 for LSU, but that would make Auburn look better so he switched those two out.
Just a complete showcase of manipulation to fit a narrative but he has a beef with me so it is to be expected out of him. Complete waste of time for him to try to prove a point.

They both will end up with national seeds

So exactly what this whole thread is doing on the other side? Manipulating data to prove a point.

Where did I manipulate data? Seriously read the OP and tell me which part of the data is manipulated?

I think we can agree using overall wins in conference, and overall losses in conference to count as 2 “good points” is a little disingenuous

Which part of it was manipulation though? Those are facts, are they not?
Just because someone doesn’t like the way the information is presented doesn’t mean it’s manipulated. It’s the same information just broken down showing that either way you look at the data, one team is better than the other.

Calm down, take a breath, use that brain of yours, and maybe you can understand it. I have no dog in this fight, but I can understand that using colorful graphs is awesome, and paints a great story. If you look at it specifically, you will see that it uses wins and losses, which are inverses, to count as more purple on the chart. It isn’t wrong, it’s just not real honest. Polls also shouldnt count for much when both teams are in the top 5
My only argument is that the lsu fans acting like this is some hit piece thread and these teams are miles apart, are retarded

Not including all of the data points is a manipulation of data lol. Only the data points that point towards Auburn are included. The fact that RPI is a flawed system in baseball. Oregon State’s RPI is very much raised due to playing so many away games without having the quality of opponents. That’s a flawed system. I don’t have a dog in the fight either way as I do not personally care lol. Pretty confident both will be top 8’s and whether Auburn is ahead or below us doesn’t bother me. As long as we’re top 8
