Now let's see if we can get him to State instead of JUCO.

If he goes JuCo he’s draft eligible again next year

Gotcha. 8th overall wasn't good enough? WTF?

Because he would have to go to college for 3 years if he goes to State, as opposed to 1 year if JUCO.

Arm injury and Braves only offered 40% of slot value.

I think it's strictly a money/ slot money issue. Sounds like he may want to be a higher priority than the Braves are making him

I think he's JUCO bound. Really hope we could get him though.

OK. That makes sense. Likely JUCO then?

Braves minor league reporter Matt Powers (who has been on top of this) indicated Stewart will go to JUCO and re enter the draft next summer although not sure if that’s official.

Tough break for all involved but understand the Braves playing hardball here. Huge upside obviously if healthy.

Especially since I'm reading that the Braves are low-balling him because they question a possible arm injury.

So if all he needs to do is prove himself healthy then JUCO is probably the best/quickest route.

Still would love to see him at Dudy

JUCO then draft eligible next year. I'd really like to know the extent of this wrist injury.

Significant wrist issue in physical apparently.

Was set to sign for ~$4.65 before that was discovered.

Forgive him. He’s 1 of the only 2 Florida fans and only been following college baseball for one year.

Matt Powers thinks it's a minor injury. He hurt it swinging a bat.

Btw this is good news for LSU because it means the Braves will not have the money to sign Zach Hess.
