I didn't realize that car flags have fallen out of favor.

Game day or for no more than 3 days following a MNC.

I work at Fort Polk, LA where the Bama fans (and only the Bama fans) have car flags and decal magnets on their cars 365/24/7... it is getting old.

Well I saw quite a few Bama flags today and it dawned on me that they dont have a game this weekend. I just found it pretty odd. If that is the norm here then so be it, I reckon.

I will throw em on when I roll down 20/59 towards Baton Rouge for a game. Other than that I dont use em.

Now my house has an LSU banner on it during football season.

Come on man, my grandmother has been dead for quite some time now. She was a staunch Bama fan from Mobile though.

No disrespect intended, merely emphasizing that even that event wouldn't make the flag special enough to fly.

I go all out on gameday - flags, magnets, decals, the works. Nothing the rest if the week, though.

IF I'm going to use them, I only do on road trips to away games.

I refuse to even ride in a car with them. No way I'm putting one on my car.

I found these rules:

Let me start by saying that there is nothing wrong with being a fan but there is something wrong with using temporary items in a permanent fashion on America's highways. Here are the rules:

1. Flags and magnets are temporary items. After appropriate use, these items shall be removed from the vehicle and appropriately stored.
2. Flags and magnets shall be displayed only when the fan is going to or returning from his/her team’s contest.
3. Don’t overdue it. You should fly a maximum of two (2) flags per vehicle (one per vehicle side-driver side and passenger side). You should display a maximum of two (2) magnets per vehicle. These magnets shall be limited to one per side of the vehicle (driver or passenger side) or the rear of the vehicle.
4. Wind socks, under no circumstances, are acceptable for use at any point, no matter the vehicle.

Flags are old school. I go with Magnets. Sometimes all season. Sometimes just on trips to the game.

Magnets year round.

Flags on gameday.

Only after a win...

I actually don't like them at anytime. They were cool when I was about 6 but seems kinda trashy to me now.

My friend took this pic of a guy in Collierville who rides around like this regularly.

It is only ok if you are supporting one of your own children's teams on the way to that child's game. Otherwise, it is lame and you should feel bad.
