Great logic
Take away the two best coaches in a school's program and they are middle of the pack, very shocking

Take away Saban and Bear and we still have three more National Championships than LSU

Let's also be honest, that basketball in general is Not as popular as it use to be. I believe college basketball is being ruined by a number of factors. I look at the big six as programs that do well over all in many different sports. Example, LSU is not a basketball school, however we have made it to the final four several times. Has Kentucky made an appearance EVER in a title game in football or baseball?

Things that come out of theads like this:
1) People who either don't know history, or just ignore it because it doesn't fit their agenda
2) Insecure fans who want to be either Alabama or Kentucky

Yeah I imagine, if you take away 18 conference titles and 10 national titles from most schools, they probably wouldn't look like tGOAT.

People get tired of winding up fans of the same team over at Rupp's Rafters so they migrate over here for new prey.

Easier to trade when you have about 10 fake ones anyway

All of this silly talk about a big 6 is just that, silly talk.
The Six has been around since Georgia Tech and Tulane were still members. The modern version based on the SEC since 92' is just a recent spin on an old school thought.

Based on which metric? If you argue UCLA is better by virtue of 11-8 in NCs then the same would give UK the advantage over UNC and Duke, both of which have 5 NCs to UK's 8. Plus, UK has been consistently good over all eras since the 1920s, which none of the other 3 can say. Also, UK has more wins all time than anyone else despite losing 50 or so to bogus NCAA sanctions vacating some wins.
In fact, I would rank Indiana as every bit the equal of UNC and Duke, if not higher, because basketball is culturally a much bigger part of life in Indiana, than in North Carolina. This factor means that IU receives as much fan enthusiasm and support as any program in the country.

You do realize the bama dynasty has not always been the case.
you mean that one decade in the modern era in which Alabama didn't win a national championship?

At what?
If you are going to say basketball, just stop now. Not faulting Wooden as a decent basketball coach winning 2/3 of his games but then Sam Gilbert shows up on campus and suddenly Wooden goes to almost 100% wins. Sam Gilbert + UCLA = possibly the most corrupt college sports team of all time, and with USC across town, that is saying something.
Walton even said he made more playing for UCLA than he did in the pros before he retracted his statement.
