Been saying 2019 was a fluke since MSU put 600 yards passing on them. Was pretty sure 2019 was a fluke during the 2019 season but had no evidence to support it.

There’s a whole hot steaming pile of evidence now.

2019 was not a fluke for the LSU program, but it was a fluke for Ed Orgeron. We will be back with the next coach.

A fluke? No.

Is anything like that ever going to happen again while Ed O is at LSU? Also no.

2019 was phenomenal, but it’s over and now they’re on a downward spiral.

With respect to Ed Orgeron, absolutely.

With respect to LSU, not really. We’ve had two separate painfully stupid head coaches win titles since Saban supercharged the program.

I 100% agree. I can only imagine how LSU would fare with great leadership.

Correct. LSU has national titles with 3 different coaches since 2000. To pretend LSU isn’t capable of being one of the best teams in the country and even the best in some years is stupid. But they did it in spite of Ed O, and his trajectory is heading toward 7-8 wins a year unless Woodward makes the necessary change.

believe they caught lightning in a bottle with that staff and players.

Lets face it, “lightning in a bottle” is basically what it takes to knock off bama and Saban. Clemson is the closest consistent threat but their regular season is a glorified tune up compared to the slog that is the SEC West.

Burrow was in year 2, Aranda in year 4, E as OC 2 out of the last 3 seasons. The OL wasn’t littered with blue chips. Jefferson, CEH, and a lot of that defensive talent had all developed 2-3 years in the program. The only “lightning in a bottle” element was Brady with Burrow turning into a cyborg.

Bama QB had a very bad ankle injury. Othewise Bama probably beats them

Um no.

And no one touches lsu in the final 3 games of the year. When they gelled perfect and the team was healthy, there was no team in the history of ncaa football that would touch them. They killed uga, Oklahoma and Clemson

Playing in four National Title CGs while winning three of them in 16 yr span..isn't about luck.

When Fickell leads LSU to a Natty within his first four years at the helm, becoming the fourth straight LSU HC to do such in short span..

Luke will not be a fluke!

The greatest season of all time is a fluke?. You’re a fricking idiot.
LSU sucks 2020 and 2021.

Since 1994 LSU has more NC’s then every time in the country not named Alabama.

Depends what we're defining as the fluke.

Was that team a fluke? No, they dominated en route to an all-time great championship season.

Was it a fluke that Ed Orgeron managed to assemble a roster and staff capable of being an all-time championship season? Yeah, seems like it at the moment.

I think among all the non LSU comments, this one in substance is correct. O had an elite DC in Aranda who ran a 3-4 defense (always my preference) which is better for attacking QB's and passing game (again my view), a wonder boy OC in Brady now an NFL OC and an NFL caliber QB who transferred from Ohio State.

And a ton of talent around for the Coordinators and Joe B to work with.

Major fluke.

And to think, it never happens if Nebraska offers transfer and lifelong Nebraska fan Burrow a spot.

But Nebraska was obviously so loaded at QB lol.

No fluke, Every season stands on it’s own in the record books and LSU was just outstanding that year. O is not outstanding but did not get in the way of those that were thus undefeated National Champions. This doesn’t happen often so good on LSU.

You wish Tennessee had a fluke season! How many National championships has Tennessee won lately!

my favorite part about all of these ‘lsu sucks now’ or ‘2019 was a fluke’ posts is that they are started by a&m fans. your program literally has done nothing. the only fans i wanna hear anything from are bama fans.

I don’t hate A&M at all but they do come across as jealous. And to be honest 2019 is something to be jealous of because it is one of the all time great seasons by a team ever
