It was a fluke. If Bama’s QB isn’t hurt and top 3 LBs injured, Bama takes it

Your top 3 linebackers weren't injured and your quarterback threw for 400 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Try another excuse.

Fluke? No, that team was loaded w/ players.

Flash in the pan? Sure is looking that way.

Agree with this.

2019 LSU is in the GOAT discussion. But was it a fortunate assembly of players and assistant coaches that O likely never will come close to replicating? I think so.

You're right but that isn't the false excuse he used, he falsely said your top three linebackers were injured.

Not true.

You're right Bama only had 4 defensive starters out and another one gimpy. QB was 2 weeks removed from high ankle surgery, which he should of never played.

LSU won not taking anything from them, but it definitely wasn't a full strength Bama team.

Let's just not lose sight that since 2019 LSU is 5-6.

Name them.

Saban said he was "fine" and "90%"

Bammers said he was "crippled"

He felt fine enough to attempt to run for a touchdown on the first drive

The nation doesn’t consider 2007 LSU as the champion because of the 2 losses, is the 2019 title just as useless since Bama was really injured?

Idiot. I guess 2003, 2007 and 2011 were flukes too. Keep piling on boys. Have your turn on the merry go round. Tigers will be back with a new coach soon enough.

BTW—-Love have Aggie is thumping its chest have their QBs through 4 picks to the vaunted Kent St pass defense.

Let’s also not forget that had Tua not destroyed his hip in the next game, Alabama wouldve gotten a rematch in the playoffs, and probably wins that one.

The stars definitely aligned for that idiot

What would have changed?

If anything, LSU's defense got better at the end of the year.

Bama wasn’t beating 2019 LSU even in a playoff rematch. No one was beating 2019 LSU.

They had a once in a lifetime great offense

I've seen two offenses that have been comparable to it in my lifetime just based on statistics: 1995 Nebraska and 2020 Alabama.

But back to the topic at hand. I agree with those who say that 2019 was a perfect storm more than it was a fluke. LSU had all the right people in all the right places. Their injuries were limited and they caught their toughest opponents (i.e. Alabama) at exactly the right time. Ed Orgeron, while as dumb as a box of rocks, was intelligent enough to get out of the way and let Brady/Aranda do their thing.

Like Chizik, however, Orgeron is trying to convince people that the national championship had more to do with his coaching than it did with his assistants and players. Hence the stupid decisions he's been making since January 2020. The only difference between the two coaches is that Chizik is a nice guy while Orgeron is a POS.

Try as much as you want for as long as you want but will never be able to take away the best single season in the history of college football. Undefeated. Heisman winner(largest margin of victory ever).

I agree that Joe Burrow had the best season of any Heisman Trophy winner. No one is arguing that and no one is trying to take that away. However, it's quite obvious that Orgeron can't sustain the program at that level because he doesn't seem to know what to do with that level of success. It happens to quite a few coaches.
