The yell leaders do not do cheers or dances. 
They have hand signals that they signal to the crowd to let them know what they are doing next.
They will say "pass it back ags" to get the signal to the last row, upper sections.
No clue what you are talking about with dances.
And none of the yells are about any specific school, so no clue what you mean about Texas and TCU.

So, it's always (or for a longtime) been a possibility but just hasn't happened yet. Like a female POTUS or the Saints winning a Super Bowl (until it actually happened).
It's not important to me A&M gets female Yell Leaders; it ain't my place to tell y'all how to roll: you do you. It's just highly vexing. To each their own.

Females have been running for yell leader since at least the 80s. The student body doesn't really give a shite and the Corps always votes all male and for Corps leader candidates only. They vote in a block. Their candidates win.
There have been non-Corps yell leaders, it's just extremely difficult to win unless you have an excellent campaign strategy and can get out and meet people. People make tshirts and use marketing majors to design campaign slogans and materials. It is very serious business.
Coming back to school, the highway is inundated with "< > for senior yell" banners. I hated that time of year.

ETA: Correct. Elections only. They don't do a try out or any routines, flips, and zips. It is 100% advertising and campaigns.
It just doesn't fit when chicks do it. There are female units in the Corps. We like having the yell leaders out there and it's different. It's tradition. It's gay.
Oh well. The dance squad is out there with flags and shite for eye candy purposes.

Honestly other schools stance on yalls traditions reminds me of how certain European countries think it’s weird as frick that us Americans have our flag, anthem, pledge, etc. slapped everywhere

And to also add, yell leaders are like football and war. Men only. Let the men do it. Women only frick that shite up with their bullshite. At the end of games, the freshmen in the Corps, chase and tackle/ capture all the yell leaders and heave them in the air to take them to a fountain on campus and throw them in it. It comeraderie crap.
A woman would complain that they were dog piled on, somebody tackled them too hard, someone grabbed a breast, someone touched their butt.
Just stay out then. Leave things as they are. Women don't need to be in everything everywhere. A&M is very conservative, and I know that since the beginning of time, it just wasn't the cool thing to want a female yell leader out there. Just the way it is

Yeah, but their dude cheerleaders are all they have on the sidelines ffs. Ours get to grab alot of hot arse during the games from their female cheerleader counterparts. It's not quite the same as a bunch of gay fake army wannabes lining up single file while grabbing their nuts, yelling and squeezing them when they're all dick to arse with another gay fake army wannabe. It's called the Aggie squeeze and is a real thing that they do at gay&m. They're just fricking queer as hell in college gaytion is all there is to it.
