Amazing to me how many posters on this site have such ready access to gifs of dudes having sex.

They’re fixated.
It’s not even speculation at this point.
And that’s ok.
But dang, it’s almost constant.

They really are. It's like all they can think of is two dudes getting naked and rubbing their bodies all over one another. So weird.

The student body elected them.

The majority of the student body are women. Women do not vote for other women in blocks.

What answer?
Why we have Yell Leaders?
It’s given several times a day.

quote:

The Yell Leader tradition dates to 1907. According to A&M lore, the Aggies were being soundly defeated and a large number of women who had taken the train from Texas Woman's University in Denton were threatening to leave. The upperclassmen ordered the freshmen to find a way to keep the women entertained. Several freshmen sneaked into a maintenance closet and changed into white coveralls. They then began leading the crowd in yells and telling jokes from the track in front of the stands. It was an instant hit and was quickly incorporated into the gameday repertoire for the Aggies. However, the freshmen became a little too popular with the ladies and "it was decided that only upperclassmen would be allowed to participate in this entertainment in the future." While usually a position held by members of the Corps of Cadets, non-Corps students have been elected to the position.

Many of us know the origin of A&M sideline activity. Yes, back in the day, there were no females involved in cinema. Ladies were portrayed by dudes, but!! somebody figured out that attractive women work better than men in drag to play those parts. In fairness, I called those medieval folks homo's for doing that; I don't give a shite what year it is: drag is drag.

What I think we all fail to understand is: why does A&M still not have female cheerleaders?

At A&M , there is a deep belief in maintaining Traditions. Simple as that. It’s what makes the place unique.

Edit: there have been some minor changes over the years. For example there is a dance squad that performs at basketball games and the football pageantry has added female Pom Pom squad.

But as long as there is a corps of cadets, there will be Yell Leaders.

They do. They're called the Aggie Dance Team.

If it means that much to you to see female Yell Leaders, find a way to manipulate the vote so that they win.

This board is chalk full of people who are either sexually confused or sexually frustrated.

Ladies were portrayed by dudes,

They weren’t acting like “ladies.”
They were engaging in goofy, humorous gestures.
The women/dates loved it.
The upperclassmen became jealous.
Boom.
The tradition was born.

For the record, none of us gays enjoy grabbing our balls and yelling in front of a stadium full of people. We think it's weird, too.
