When y'all get your first SEC network check, don't start bragging. Just humbly call up our fine universities at A&M and Mizzou and say "Thanks. We are sorry. We were wrong."

The SEC leadership fricked up and didn't make a SEC Network in 2008, and now the SEC is behind two major conferences in TV money per team (Big 12 and Big 1G) currently. And because the frick-up contract is so long, the disparity would have grown over time.
A&M and Mizzou reshuffled the deck.

I don't know why it's so hard for college grads from flagship schools to get the grasp of that.
A&M did good in football, Mizzou is ONE of the FEW SEC teams making it into the NCAAt. Not bad pickups.
ETA: Considering Mizzou will finish 2nd-3rd in the SEC with a bunch of new players and transfers/2nd year coach, it tells me Mizzou will be one of the top SEC teams in basketball for awhile.

Dude's obviously fvcking with you. Although, as someone who actually was raised south of I-10 (Ocean Springs, MS), I'd argue that the "Southern" culture is actually dissipated a bit down there.
