I seem to remember an exorbitant buyout.

I know the University is having money problems. I'm sure the AD is doing fine money wise but that's a bad look to pay him a huge chunk to go away and then another huge chunk to hire someone else.

What's the buyout at the end of the year?

Yes, coonass

There were two questions in the OP. What's the buyout?

Yeah they can fire whiteboots but they won't.

Well i take that back. They'll fire him for 6 and 6 or worse. If he goes 7 and 5, he stays.

See here's the problem with this shite. This fanbase is divided into two factions. The first is grounded in the reality of yawyaw and his limitations and understands the sooner he gets his walking papers, the better.

The second faction, which is amazingly influential in all this, is completely enamoured with his swampy cajunness and will stomach almost anything to have a so called "cajun" running the show. All that dipshit has to do to politick these people is babble about "cajun this and creole that" and frickin beans and rice on monday and whatever else and that's pretty much it. Cousin eddie knows his audience and his audience is real frickin easy.

This still makes them spooge in their pirogues, they quote it all the time. "We comin'. We comin' and we ain't backin' down". He said that staring into a camera with a contrived set of crazy eyes. They showed their "O" faces that day, let me tell ya.

You see they began this half baked journey with some sorta frickin wet dream about coach emphysema coming home after making his bones out in the world.

The fantasy goes like this. One of their homegrown coonasses returns to his homeland, makes good, beats the crimson menance to the east, wins the conference and hits the playoff. In their minds, this is an espn 30 for 30 that'll just write itself and believe me, these ogeron bitter enders are holding out for it.

The ogeron realists understand that less than 9 and 3 is an abject failure. The ogeron bitter enders are already writing the excuses for a 7 and 5 season.

LSU hasn't paid off Les Miles yet. Paying off two former coaches (Les and O) and paying for a new coach is too much for LSU to afford.

After this year?

You really ought to be asking about DURING this season. Because you know damn good and well this talk is going to start about 5-6 games in.

Jesus Quintana.... you don't seem to remember, you know that answer. If not, then stop throwing shite at our coach just long enough to use the search function.

Mizzou.... please petition the SEC to let your asses leave!

The buyout was never high

He had the 11th highest buyout in the sec at the time of signing his contract

His buyout was never high in comparison to others in the SEC, was just an overblown sec rant myth.

After this season his buyout would just be $6M, compare that to someone like Jimbo who would leave aTm on the hook for $67.5M after this season

Thank you for the legitimate answer, and not being a sensitive little bitch like most of your fanbase.

I had thought it was much higher. 6M should me manageable I would think.
