I don't know why you'd want them out. This is lsu's competitive strata now. Les miles brought lsu back to it's natural mid-packish state of being and now whiteboots will complete the journey and have lsu hitting bottom this season.

Long gone are the days lsu sat in alabama's weight class and before long, lsu will be the football version of a fat guy in a bar room tough man contest. Yawyaw will see to it.

I had thought it was much higher. 6M should me manageable I would think.

It's chump change a donor would pony up easily. Buyouts (generally) go down over the course of a contract. Reason why people were like "zOMG THAT BUYOUT" when his contract was signed was because it was $12M, that was only if we fired him the same month we hired him. It goes down each year after.

We were never really on the hook for $12M because nobody fires a coach (And would owe them a buyout) within the same month they hired them.

If this season goes bad, I think they will fire Alleva first. Then the new AD will fire Orgeron during next season. By then the buyout will be ~5mill

Why would i be banned for expressing an opinion?

Nick saban comes along and minus that flash of brilliance and miles' subsequent coattailing, lsu has been a historically middling program. Joe alleva buckles to fan pressure and scrapes the barrel for a largely worthless headcoach and as a result, this program will soon come full circle and then some.

In life we get what we want. You people wanted a "cajun" and you fired a "michigan man" to get him.

Now you dopes can carry on all you want about miles being fired because he wouldn't change his offense or a diminshing win/loss record or whatever else but the fact of the matter, is he was fired because he could no longer beat alabama.

So this is what you all decided to do. We'll fire a good coach that can no longer beat alabama, we'll hire an inferior coach that never will and then we'll go on to lose to alabama just like always. But now that we have a shitty coach, we can also start losing to lots of other teams as well.

The lsu fanbase played a very influential role in yawyaw's hiring. The impending results of said hiring? Well you all have it coming.

No. The 2017 Ogeron Act prevents it.

They can't fire white boots until after the first home game. They will pass the bucket for donations to make up the shortfall in the checking account for the buyout.

Is this why LSU head coach is on the hot seat every year? No one seem to know if he is the one to get the job done?

About time somebody said that. An AD is not supposed to be allowed to make two bad Football hires anymore. Arky fired their AD and Coach. We will do the same. Saban was hired by a brand new Chancellor with not permanent AD. If they fire Alleva and O this year, at least O did some good recruiting for the next guy.

Last I heard he was coming...and he wasn’t going to back down. The real question is, can they afford his raise?

Miles was fired because he started losing to the Arkansas and Ole Misses of the world on a regular basis.

Don’t listen to everything Herbstreit tells you.
