Can Florida's Defense Beat Off The Cocks, Or Will The Cocks Erupt All Over Brad White?

What say you Gamecock fans?
I think with Beamer on the hot seat and his players wanting to step up and prove the haters wrong, LaNorris & Company will be playing lights out on offense, and it will be a matter of if the Gator's offense can bounce back after last week's abysmal performance.
Cocks lost to a good Kentucky squad by 1, and lost by only a touchdown to a hot Miss state team, so they are much better than their record shows.
Is this the beginning of Cocktober, or the final nail in the coffin for Beamer's tenure?

UF and USC, the two houses of SOS.

Despite what you've heard about SC struggles with it's WR's holding on to Seller's passes, that is not SC's problem. We've averaged 37+ points a game, and 34 pts a game vs SEC competition NOT named Alabama. Most years that should be enough to win. Scoring production is up almost 17 points over last years team. Kinda makes you think how many points we'd score if Nyck Harbor could hold on to balls that hit him in the hands, but I digress...
The problem is with our defensive backfield. Too many people have figured out that you can just throw over the top on us. I expect more of the same on Saturday.
Relax gators. you've got this.

Sellers has shown up in games I took the time to watch. Against Kentucky, he was easily the best running QB in the SEC. Easily. That is why Stein went for 2.

Next week it will be "LSU beat a really bad Kentucky team"
When we win by 2 scores or more on the road

Carolina will play exactly like it did at Alabama -
the game will never be contested from the USC defense - 2 of our 3 LB constantly take themselves out of run plays - 1 has zero ability to pass cover - the entire secondary plays with more disconnect and mayhem than a 7 year old's birthday party at a Big Air Trampline park -
if Florida derps it's way around the swamp on offense - USC might stay within a couple of TD -

I love these games where neither fanbase is confident. Or maybe only confident that we lose

Drops are part of the issue, but Sellers is very low in the SEC among starting QBs for on-target throw % that accounts for "catchable" balls. SC has a much better showing vs Bama and more Ws this year if not for errant throws at inopportune moments.
His accuracy under pressure and on the move are not elite. His running is.

Sellers is Azz cheeks passing the ball

I believe he fell 12th in on-target %. I do recall he was one ahead of Reed and one behind Leavitt.

Have you watched every second of SC football this year? I have.
Has he had some bad balls? Yes. Do his receivers constantly run the wrong routes, give up on routes and drop balls that hit them in the hands? Even bigger yes. All of those things will inflate that number.
Let's just agree to disagree.

Our offense could score 50 but our defense will give up 51. Play a 3-3-5 and Sellers will make mistakes.
Always want my Gamecocks to win but if we beat Florida it hurts our chances of getting rid of Beamer

We haven’t won a road game in like 700 days we aren’t winning at the swamp

I think SC plays UF close enough to scare the shite out of them, and maybe even have a late lead.
But UF wins this game.
But UF wins this game.

There's a chance the UF-SCAR coaching pipeline continues with Napier or Faulkner.
