Agree with you 100% there. Basic admission at A&M definitely equates to scholarship worthy at TCU.
Not quite the dunk you thought it was when you typed it out, but that sort of pompous, oblivious, self-ownage is not surprising either coming from TCU grads.

LOL. You guys have played TCU 92 freakin' times.
Your stupid arse "gig'em" thing exists because solely because of TCU.

A&M and horny frog go way back. My first A&M game I ever went to when I was a kid was between A&M and TCU.
We have about a 2 to 1 win streak advantage over TCU. We also have a 24 game winning streak against TCU. I never did have much hate towards TCU back then. They were just considered to be another automatic win most seasons. Most of our games while I attended A&M were blowouts. I felt bad for them when the SWC broke up and they got left behind. I figured they would never amount to much. Boy was I wrong.
Good luck to them
We also missed their best stretch of football ever.
Most TCU grads I know are nice folks.
They definitely belie the image of the school as a repository of extremely wealthy, academically supbar children with notable fondness for controlled substances.

Aggys can’t wait to hang another banner when the SEC wins again

Wait did they really? I never knew this. When?

I'm hoping TCU wins the game but don't think they will.
They have been the best program in Texas the last 10 years.

This is stupid. Anything that makes your opponent weaker makes you stronger. Everyone with an SEC team should want to see UGA lose.
Your looking at this the wrong way! Why do you think the SEC gets the best players. Its because the whole conference is stronger and if you play on just about any SEC team you have a better chance of winning a National Championship and you get more NFL scouts looking at you! I personally dont want any other conference beating Georgia Bama ect……, I only want LSU or another SEC team to beat them. Pulling for TCU is only going to make other conferences better!

100% rooting for TCU. Know lots of fine young men and women that went there and have many friends in Ft Worth who support the school.

Good for you, Maroon!
It's not all envious after all.
I'm sure the Hornee Frogs don't want to let the state down, as well!

I have lived in Texas for over 20 years. All of the kids here grow up wanting to go to Texas or A&M. Those two schools, along with Rice are where all of the smart kids in the state end up attending. TCU is not a school that any Texas kid grows up hoping to attend. I'm not sure how to explain it, but TCU is kind of like an after thought. There isn't a strong and visible alumni base at TCU like other schools in Texas have. It probably doesn't help that their student population at TCU has quite a bit of out of state students. Lots of California kids for some reason. So, I could totally see an A&M or Texas fan not excitedly rooting for TCU. Not be cause they're jealous, but just because TCU is an afterthought like I mentioned earlier

Texas A&M has a huge population of blue collar kids. Lots of farmers kids too. The school has a huge Ag program. Don't think you know what you're talking about in regards to A&M. Sure, there are probably some rich kids there too, but all large state public universities have a large mix of students. What all of those kids have in common is that they're smart and were high achieving students in high school with excellent grades and high test scores. Having kids currently in high school in Texas, I'm pretty up to date with Texas universities.

Who gives a shite? Any “pulling” for any team means nothing unless you’re inside the stadium and actually could affect the game. Who GAF? Screaming at your TV and posting on tRant will not affect the game.

You have like 75,000 students. You are a diploma mill if there ever was one.
Academic smack talk is the last refuge of a fan base that has nothing else to brag about. Sad.

You obviously don't live in Texas. I've been here over 20 years. Texas is a huge state and A&M's enrollment has had to grow substantially to keep up with the increase in the state's population. But, it is far from a diploma mill. All of the smart Texas kids go to A&M, Rice, or University of Texas. You basically have to be in the top 10 percent of your high school class to gain admission. They do accept some kids who barely miss the top 10% and have extremely high SATs/ACTs from some of the highly competetive academic high schools like Plano West, etc. Some high schools in Texas are extremely difficult to be in top ten percent even with straight A's.

Damn I wish I could be as smart as the top 10 percent of Sharpstown HS. Plenty of those geniuses getting interdisciplinary studies degrees from A&M

Make all of the snide jokes you want. A&M, Texas, and Rice are where all of the smart kids attend college in Texas. There is no arguing that. It is a fact. And just because a student is admitted to Texas or A&M, it doesn't mean they've been accepted into the major/Department they wish to be in. They basically have to go through another admission/review process to get into certain majors like engineering, business, computer science, etc. And in the engineering school, you aren't even guaranteed which specialty you want (chemical, civil, electrical, etc). After freshman year, you have to basically apply yet again to see which engineering specialty you get into.
