We're going to have to win at least two of those to get to 7 wins, which is how many we need for bowl eligibility.

Will we do it?

I'm on the fence, but I think we will.

Damn, I hope you guys are right. You're more confident about A&M than most Ags.

even with some of their better teams the last few years, they havent been able to beat mizzou. why would they now in the midst of a rebuild and a frosh QB? that QB draw was sniffed out pretty quickly with a half worth of film. their best play just got solved.

it looks like moo st and mizzou will beat them. awburn seems like the best bet for an aggy win, and arky depends on wilson's health... and the potential mutiny in fayetteville.

probably. if your defense plays like it did saturday y'all could win all of those games. that is, if your coaching staff figures out a way to move the ball on offense when you play a defense that defeats the almighty "spread". sorry if i seem sarcastic about your offense but sherman had it going with the pro style; it was his defense that sucked eggs, esp the db's. now sumlin comes in and changes the O philosophy completely? i think it was mistake hiring him if y'all want to compete for the SEC and an NC. just my opinion; i'm obviously not a fan of a steady spread diet as a winning O.

actually, we can go 6-6 with 2 FCS wins and still make a bowl if enough teams don't qualify.

That may happen this year with Ohio St, Penn St, UCF, and North Carolina all ineligible.

quote:

Ordinarily, teams need to finish with a minimum .500 winning percentage with at least six wins -- five against other Football Bowl Subdivision teams -- to be bowl eligible. A sixth win against a Football Championship Subdivision team only counts if the FCS school meets scholarship requirements. Now, first consideration will go to 6-6 teams with a win against any FCS teams, regardless of scholarships, then 6-6 teams with two wins against FCS schools. A team that finishes 6-7 and loses in a conference championship would be next, followed by 6-7 teams that normally play a 13-team schedule, such as Hawaii and its home opponents. Then bowls could then invite FCS teams making the move to FBS, if they have at least a 6-6 record. Finally, a team with a top-five APR that finishes 5-7 could be selected.

I agree. That west coast offense, especially with the zone read sprinkled in, is my favorite offense of all time.

Won't beat Mizzou. A&M has lost to Mizzou in College Station the past two years and has lost 5 of the past 6 games against Mizzou.

All of the sudden A&M is far better than years past with a new coach and new QB?

Y'all must be crazy. Mizzou nearly beat Georgia with, dare I say, good defense until the 4th quarter happened. I don't see A&M beating Mizzou this year.

you'll beat us badly if we play like saturday 2nd half (i.e. if tyler isn't playing/coaching).

i would think you can easily take 2 of those games.

p.s. your crowd was awesome saturday i thought.

Arkansas and Auburn are definitely winnable games. Missouri is a toss-up. I think Miss St. beats you this year. They are looking pretty good.

With what we've seen from those 5 teams this year, I agree with this view.
