Not with the weather they're predicting. I think it comes down to which team can get the running game going & who makes fewer mistakes.
17-14 type of game if I had to guess.

Yea, not touching this one.

Realistically, I just don't think it's a good game to bet on. It's not like you need encouragement to watch it. I would pick any of the other *much* better games to bet on this week. It's just a bit too unpredictable.

I think there's a good chance Henry/Drake get theirs, but there is probably an equal chance that Kiffin pulls a Kiffin and tries a shite load of passing plays that in all likelihood don't work.

Similarly, while I don't think Chubb and Michel get "stonewalled", there is a good chance that Bama finds ways to make big stops on 3rd down which could lead to a low scoring game.

Just about every outcome is equally possible, which makes it a hell of a lot harder to bet. Look elsewhere for where to lay cash, enjoy this one for what it is.

I can see either team winning by 14 or either team winning by 1 on a last second FG. No outcome would surprise me.

Bama winning on a last second field goal would surprise me!

what pisses me off about the rain is that we are built on speed. The ULM guy comparing the defenses said as much, bama is bigger but we're faster. A wet field is only going to neutralize our linebackers and slow them down, which hurts us. Not to mention sony, imac, et al won't be able to cut/accelearte as quickly either.

This blows. I'm already pissed.

Disagree here. Rain favors offensive skill players. They know where they're going.

This troll thread should not be allowed, I'm raging against the ducks singing to the pine trees on the ridge by the shaky shack where the ho ho's hang out

Right and I mentioned as much earlier, but just because they mentally know where to go and the DB doesn't doesn't change the fact that when their feet and legs are in motion it's not going to be as easy to cut or hit full speed as it would in a dry game.

Sure, but it's easier for them than it is for the DB or LB trying to tackle them. It doesn't matter how quickly they cut as long as they're quicker than the other guy.

I have to believe this will favor IM on returns though....it will be difficult for those guys to break down and tackle that squirmy little guy...

Also, this must favor our punt block team too...they've been close (blocked 2 I believe) on every kick.

I think it's a bit more high scoring than that. Both teams have somewhat unproven QB's but stud RB's and lots of offensive talent. I do think UGA has a slightly better defense and I think they'll win by a TD, around 30-23. I've been wrong plenty of times before though.

Is Bama´s DL strong on pass rush, or only the run?

Maybe he should call Leonard Little or Donte Stallworth for tips on how to do this.

As for the defense, the success depends on how well they do on first and second down. This pass rush is phenomenal in obvious passing situations. The run defense has been stout but not really tested yet. So I guess my best answer is we really don't know how good these guys are yet, other than the pass rush. Floyd, Jenkins and Lo Carter are monsters when turned loose at a QB.

Henry will most likely get his. Is Drake healthy? He'll most likely get his too if so. Physical run games have done well against Pruitt.

Kiffin will still try to get cute like he did against Ole Miss and COker will throw up a prayer. "Oh were running with success? Lets surprise them with a pass into triple coverage, thatll work!"
