Auburn doesnt run a HUNH offense. We run a no huddle offense that occasionally goes hurry up.

I thought it was well known that Auburn didn't go warp speed this year.

So tell me what you think of Auburn's offense in 2013?

It killed us so I thought it was just fine.

Gus is never going to have a bad offense. The man knows his X's and O's. He's great at playing to the strengths of his team. He'll go fast if the personnel allows it, slow down if need be, pass heavy, run heavy. I really doubt his offense has been the exact same in back-to-back years at any point in time while he's been at the collegiate level. You'll definitely never hear a complaint from me about the guy.

Jesus Christ bammers are stupid and scared. Most of those schools don't recruit on the same level as Auburn. The situation that most closely resembles Auburn is Clemson. Fairly high level of recruiting, big name defensive coordinator, and HUNH offense. They are #1 nationally in defense

Bullseye

Why this, "Gus is a defense killer" narrative started, I don't know. Gus' offense is a ball-control, power run based offense*. He'll go hurry up when he needs to. His offensive success isn't based on it.

*their deep strike attack in the IB was more a product of our secondary than Gus' offensive philosophy, IMO

He's actually been pretty consistent at Auburn. 2011 was the only year he wasn't in the 29-30 minute range in TOP.

AU doesn't need a great Defense. They would have won the NC last year and would have been in the playoff this year with just an average Defense.

the deep passes were the result of NM throwing accurate passes to the best deep ball threat in the SEC, maybe the country.

In short, a young, formidable coaching staff has been brought together at Auburn with some of the most innovative minds in the game.

In the coming seasons, you're going to see some of the most dominating CFB on the plains that anyone has witnessed in decades.
