Yeah it’s pretty much either Cam Newton or Lamar Jackson for best individual season by a QB ever and both did it without a single fellow NFL player on their offense during their Heisman season.

Hell Lamar’s 2017 was just as impressive as his 2016 Heisman year.

This. College HOF is not like the pros. There's a backlog of players, particularly from the SEC and particularly at certain positions. There's really no criteria or importance placed on *when* someone is elected.

Tim Tebow had to wait several years and he is the gold standard.

Hell they still haven't gotten around to putting Alan Faneca in and he has already been elected the Pro Football HOF.

How’d that turn out for you?

what did Auburn do?

They won the same amount of SEC titles and had the same amount of playoff appearances that you have had since Covid.

Arguably according to whom? What an asinine position. Everyone knows who had, going away/hands down, the single best season in CFB. Check the Heisman voting, Gump.

That's Johnny Football in 2012.

He followed that with:

46 TDs, 4114 passing yards, 759 rushing yards

Please explain how Burrow has hurt his case. His season was what it was, one singular season for the ages. Change my mind.

Burrow wins 7, maybe 8 games in that 2010 Auburn squad

Maybe, who knows, and really not relevant to this discussion.

Statistically speaking yes, Joe had the greatest college season of all time.

Cam Newton was easily one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time and what he did that season should have put in in the HOF in his first year of eligibility.

Both can be true at the same time and you don’t have to shite on one or the other for both of those statements to have validity.

What, actually, do Hoosiers have to boast regarding their storied football program. Someone please explain. Where have you losers been the last 25 years. Wow. Have a little self-respect. Here's hoping Miami throttles your Cinderella season.

Lemme guess. Mendoza. Right? If not Burrow, then who. Put up or maybe consider remaining silent if you have no argument.

Let's just look at QB stats. How many plays, I mean explosive plays, did Joe Burrow make under pressure with the game in doubt? How many great plays under pressure? How many did Cam Newton make? How many ranked teams did each face and beat? Newton was great, but Burrow was much better. Yards, YPA, Completion percentage, TDs, mind bending plays. Go down the list. It's not like Burrow never ran for a first down either. You people are retarded.

It's clear the reason is he effectively only played for 1 year. You can agree or disagree but that is surely the reason.
