who is being accused of paying 200k????

No one, in the open. A 200k offer was said to be the high bid, MSU was offered a discount since he liked the school of the highest bidder.

Reading comprehension is horrid around here...

The NCAA needs to get on the ball with this shite... Sure they will eventually get busted and forfeit all their wins but auburn will still make a shite ton of money with all the publicity, merchandise and what not

The NCAA's primary focus right now is to find out if Newton should be eligible or not. It's only fair to both Newton and the schools left on Auburn's schedule

...and the people who may have paid him

Its pretty simple. Ill break it down so we won't have to go on and on about this. If there's proof Auburn paid for Cam then Auburn is in trouble along with Cam. If there is no proof, then its just hear say and Auburn will have gotten away with cheating. Lets just see what happens.

Newton's eligibility is the question as of now. People are assuming the investigation widens in the future.

Haha. Even if, at minimum, Newton is declared ineligible, this entire Auburn season of the century is erased.

"There is no evidence whatsoever of any contact at all between Kenny Rogers and Auburn's staff," the source said.

This isn't exactly a denial of involvement of the situation. Just that the NCAA can't prove it.

The source chose to remain anonymous because the NCAA strongly encouraged the school not to comment on the matter.

This brazenness could be the downfall, ask USC...

I will say this ONE more time. Auburn's compliance department has known this since JULY.....JULY folks a few months before football began

This is why Newton will be allowed to play. The decision was already made.

It is also the reason why if this turns out to be true, Auburn will get absolutely hammered...probably worse than USC.

This is literary gold. Barn thinks they are elite, then crashes when they found out being elite was built solely upon major once a decade cheating allegations.

no...but unless you are my father or my grandfather (which would be hard to do since they have passed), don't refer to me as "son"

Your sentiments are based largely in conjecture. Not that they aren't possible scenarios, just that we haven't come close to getting to that point yet.

The NCAA couldn't answer an email between now and NC Game. This will drag on for more than a year.
