They'd probably let the rest of the season play out before any penalties, so don't get yourself to believing that LSU will get into the SECCG from that happening.

Hmm, I guess Cam Newton won't be handed a Heisman afterall. Well, hell, at least he'll be handed something: a subpoena. Is there a pose for that?

The Aubarners on AUFamily.com dug up this ESPN article about Kenny Rogers in trouble with the NFLPA (players' union). Nothing conclusive, but it does help the Aubarners build their case that Rogers is a shady character whose credibility is questionable.

After defending Rogers, Greengross later distanced himself.

"If I find out he crossed the line ... if he was actually telling people that he worked for the NFLPA, I'm not gonna stand for that," the agent said. "I've been clean for 15 years.

"If this guy did something I wasn't in control of, that's gonna come down on me and I'm gonna be responsible."

We're cheatin' just like everyone else (except bammer), but not on that level. This is a hit job. We wouldn't have played him if there was any wrongdoing on the level of MSU's in-house alumnus fiasco.

What keeps a guy like Rogers from asking for money from Mississippi State without having a connection to Newton. Say he thought Newton was going there anyway and acted like he could steer Newton to State for money. If they had actually paid him who would have ever found out?
