I don't believe Cam knew about the money. Auburn is lucky to have him represent the program.

Amazing what great offensive lines can do for a QB. Look at Manzeil, McCarron, and Newton. They can't excel at the same level without them

Or having a receiver that had caught a pass in the league before the season started, or running backs worth a shite.

The Panthers just aren't a good team. period.

Newton is a baller. Anyone who thinks he is a bad person because someone chose to pay him isn't thinking right. It's not like he stole the money. Now the laptop theft thing, that was not cool - but it's not like he beat his wife in an elevator.

You are a joke. No one in the NFL can succeed with the offensive line, rbs, and receivers Cam has this season. Yet Cam is 25 and has won rookie of the year (from every outlet), been to the pro bowl twice, broke 6 NFL rookie records, broke countless NFL records, lead his team to the playoffs once

Do any Alabama fans keep up with the NFL? Because this thread makes it seem as though they've never watched a game

Not that it matters all that much but one of there better players actually got paid to attend. Caught, punished, etc..So yea, State is paying players. You'd be surprised at the amount of money that is spent on 5 win teams.

So State is paying players that in a lot of cases didn't have offers from other SEC schools?

I cant stand Cam as much as anyone, but MSU isn't having a rocking season because they have a bunch of stud recruits they are trotting out there. Prescott and Robinson are great and didn't have a big offer sheet.

Why Auburn fans feel the need to defend Cam Newton is beyond me. His play and record while at Auburn said all that needed to be said. And anyone who watches football at all knows exactly what caliber of QB Cam is in the NFL...they would all jump like little school girls to get him on their team.

I'm fine with Cammy Cam now that he is destined to rot in Carolina for the majority of his pro career.

Yeah...Cam can walk after this season if he wants to

No he can't. Carolina already exercised the 5th year option on him. He's there through 2015 unless they trade him.
