The problem with an NFL HC, or even an OC is that the systems are too complex for CFB players. There is only a certain amount of time to teach schemes, unlike the NFL where it is a job.
This is a good point - like when Jimbo was here - he knew what he had to work with, simplified the play book and exploited talents. Like with skyler green - he taught him one play, and when he mastered that one play he got another. THen you get crowton who had an encyclopedia of plays, instead of knowing a few plays really well, you have kids knowing a little about a bunch of plays.

Mett was able to torch that bama D for nearly 300 yards last year. Just think what he will be able to do with a competent offensive coordinator calling the shots?

86th ranked offense, that's AWFUL for a team that won the SEC and went to the NCG. Please someone find me a team that was that bad on offense that won their conference and played in the NCG. I'd love to see it.
This is the equivalent of complaining about 5% of outperformance on your investments compared to your benchmark because you were underweight the asset class mandate. Points are more important than yards, and your total offense probably would've been higher if your defense didn't put you on the opponent's 45 all the time. Of course the flip side is your points per game probably wouldn't have been as high, but all in all I just can't see why you're downplaying your offense so much.

Cameron could be a great hire, could be a total bust, could be meh- who the hell knows. Nobody knows shite.
However, it seems like LSU fans have a hard-on for NFL coaches, moreso than other SEC schools.
I remember the clamoring for Jack Del Rio back in the day...

I'm sorry... Was Cameron not fired mid-season this year? Did the Baltimore offense improve after he left?
Are my facts not correct here?

Uhhhhhh Ole Miss fans had rumors about NFL coaches that were successful coming to Ole Miss alllllll over the place when I was in school there. I still laugh about my friends talking about the rumor that Belichick was in Oxford
Then we have UT fans and Gruden...
Then we have Bama who HIRED an NFL coach...
Then we have Arkansas that did the same with Petrino...
I mean, come on man.

I was on that Jack Del Rio wagon
you are right - could be great or could be a bust - I think the overall idea from most of us, was the worst hire would be no hire.
If cameron gets here and we see the same shite that we have seen for the past few years, it is obvious Les is extremely hard headed and has total control over the offense. Miles is a hell of a recruiter, and seems to be steering the program in a good direction, but he is going to have to admit, that he cannot be HC and an offense specialist, if he woudl acknowledge his limitations, he would see more success. - just my opinion.

Actually I am hungry. I'm going to buy a steak and I'm washing it down with Scotch.
Today has been a great day fellow Tiger fans.

Foolproof plan - that combination is perfect for a great day or a shitty day.

AHHHHHHHH IT HAS
PRobably the best, most all-around awesome class in our programs history and 2 days later we hook one of the most successful OC's in NFL history to fix our most glaring issues.
I can't wait to hear the player opinions coming out of Spring practice.
