I've read it at work throughout the course of the day without posting and it's been kind of laughable.

Yeah it is kind of funny in one of those "is this real life?" kind of ways.

Why is Cam all of a sudden alongside newly hired head coaches for a comparison? We have a head coach. We've had many offensive coordinators. We continue to do fairly well despite our offensive shortcomings recently. This is undoubtedly an upgrade. Why he's being compared to two unproven head coaches is beyond me.

Because all of those that were mentioned are unproven in their current roles? Gus and Bret as head coaches in the SEC and Cam as an SEC OC.

Jesus man I threw Bret and Gus in there for "equal ground" purposes to show the similarities between fan bases but frick. You guys just will not accept me not sucking that tiger dick bitch, huh? frick this I've got better things to do tonight.

Ummm, he's been an NFL OC for years. The leap from the NFL as a successful OC to the SEC is not quite the jump as a guy in college first making the jump to the SEC. Not to mention, once again, he's an OC. Why he's compared to them doesn't make much sense to me.

Sure, the verdict is still out. But it's invariably an upgrade for our staff and the staff was already proven. We cannot say the same about Auburn and Arkansas. The situations are not alike.

Very good hire. I'm actually not sold on the idea that Ravens won the SB because of the coaching change. They ran Cameron's offense and they got a lot of player's back from injury. Also, to be frank, until the second half of the New England game I thought Caldwell did a poor job calling plays.

The 2011 team had a just above terrible offense. 86th is flat out awful for a team that went to the NCG.

Wrong, heading into the BCSCG LSU had the 17th best rushing offense (#2 in the SEC), 18th best Pass Efficiency rating (#1 in the SEC) and 12th ranked scoring offense (#1 in the SEC).

That is NOT "just above terrible".

But as far as the Cameron hire, it seems to me the last time LSU replaced co-coordinators with a 'washed up' coach, it turned out pretty okay.

...Thanks, Chief.
