To be fair, the Dolphins were in pretty bad shape as a franchise at the time.

What? Any HC could have won with John Beck and Cleo Lemon as your QB(s).

Funny I remember hearing all the bad hire meh hire and that was dumb bullshite when Miles hired Chavis.
Well look how that turned out for us so I think I will sit back relax and enjoy the tears of the SEC the next few years.

in all fairness, you dont know this yet. in theory it could come true

Of course. But Cam Cameron seems to fit our needs quite well. And it also shows that the higher-ups are trying to improve the offense. That in itself is a positive for LSU fans.

The SEC rant will downplay any move LSU makes.

Cam Cameron accepts LSU OC position. Presser early next week.

Lots of LSU fans gonna be mad when they see minimal change to the offense.

It's a good hire from a publicity standpoint though

No, sorry, you and the rest of the SEC will be mad when Cam unleashes Mett, Rivers, Hill, Hilliard, Blue, Landry, Beckham, Wright, Boone, Leslie, Peterson, Dickson, Stokes, Smith; along with
Jennings, Rettig and hopefully Fournett, Noil, Brown, Quinn and a mammoth young but already experienced O-line next year....

What is a little funny here is that LSU fans in this thread are, for the most part, realistic. They are optimistic, acknowledge that Cam Cameron might not be Chip Kelly, but realize that it could jump start the program's offense and add an edge that is currently missing from their top of the SEC team. Not many teams can say they have someone who was a head coach in the NFL as their OC. It may work out, it may not, but LSU has the luxury of an amazing Defense that can pick up the slack and allow for growing pains.

Meanwhile, the fans that are being the most dismissive are the ones who were calling us stupid assholes for thinking Chizik was a shitty coach 2 years ago, told us we were stupid for thinking JLS was a bad move for an interim coach, or who are predicting SEC dominance from a guy who lost 5 games in the B1G last year.

Cameron's pedigree is way too impressive for Les to have control of the offense. The madness has come to a close

We will see if anything actually changes on the offensive side of the ball. Not impressed with the guy personally, but anything is an improvement

How much of the offense is Miles willing to relinquish will determine the success as a unit.

He'll give more control to Cameron than to anyone else. But I still don't know how much that will be.

Things were gonna change anyways with the addition of Leslie and Desean Smith.

11 years as an OC in the NFl. He made Gus Frerotte a pro bowler. Works for me. We now have the best coordinator combination in the country.

What is baffling about all the negative comments on Cam's record in the NFL is that they forget some others with not so great NFL resumes.

Steve Spurrier
NFL 12-20
NCAA 208-77-2

Nick Saban
NFL 15-17
NCAA 154-55-1

I guess those two suck arse as college coaches too right?
