I think TRob was a solid hire but at UA he was part of a collective that was not great under Saban. Not saying it was him by himself but for the last few years our staff had been very under achieving to say the least.
Now I do believe Kirby was hoping it could help chances with Downs just like I believe Kirby knows he is a great recruiter.
I also do not think TRob would have prevented all those that have left from leaving. I never want him as a DC either.

The UGA ones used to be reliable have whiffed pretty bad a few times in the last few months and they really serve no purpose at the moment

That was a report that was circulating. Radi repeated it and others. He was repeating. That said, people should know by now that there is no such thing as a done deal until a kid signs on the dotted line. I agree that Long Dawg should learn a lesson from this.
That said, it seems like there was a "done deal" prediction made by Chex, an Auburn fan that blew up in his face as well. I'm sure all the Auburn fans jumped on him, too, right?

But I didn't cosign or take up for him, other than to explain where he got his information from. I also plainly said that he should know better and I hope he learned his lesson.
