Then why are you posting so much in a thread about Arkansas basketball recruiting?

He's been at Utah Valley State and BYU. I'm still skeptical about the hire but think he's done a great job so far. Plus there will be a honeymoon phase of not dealing with a stubborn coach completely stuck in his ways (no half court sets other than floppy, no BLOB plays, no switching defenses, no in game adjustments unless you get up by 15 plus then let the other team come back etc. etc.)
But I can GUARANTEE if he has similar results at Kentucky as John Calipari had over the last 4 years we'll move on to someone else.

I guess we'll find out in a few months.
A motivated Calipari and a billionaire good buddy will be interesting to watch. The players will be there. The fan support will be there. I find it a bit comical to reach for....'he can't coach'. Please keep saying that. It would be nice if he stays highly motivated to kick some big blue a$$.

Nobody bought out anyones contract.
Ky fans are stupid. Youre expecting too much from them to understand contracts. Hell they didnt even write up cals lifetime contract successfully to avoid loopholes.
Who gives a coach a lifetime contract?
Theyve obviously forgot the coaching search when Cal was hired. They were turned down multiple times then too. Before that when BCG was hired it was a panic hire becaused they were getting embarrassed again because nobody wanted it. Cal saved their sorry arse program when no one wanted it and this is how they treat him. Its gonna be funny watching them eat one of their own once reality sets in

Thanks... thought i was gonna have to pull articles detailing the previous coaching searches to prove my point. I have them saved if you would like to revisit the past. I forgot how ugly it got for your great fanbase. You deserve a better AD that doesnt panic hire

Elite programs have higher standards. With his talent level he underperformed.

Of course. You have to.
Anyone who watched the Cal Decline the last 5 years knows what's up.

Kentucky has always had talent. He performed right along with how Kentucky has always performed, you guys think he sucked because he left you holding the bag when you guys thought he wouldn’t leave. Y’all gave him a lifetime contract, that just screams he didn’t do well there…

In the modern era (Gillispie the exception since he was only at UK for 2 years), Kentucky has never had a stretch where a coach didn’t make it out of the first weekend for 5 years straight in the NCAA Tournament. You’re painting serious revisionist history.

Worst single season record in modern history
Longest SEC Regular Season Championship drought since 1926
Longest SEC Tournament drought in school history
Longest Sweet 16 drought in school history
First ever 3 game losing streak in Rupp Arena
First (and second) first round loss to double digit seed in NCAA Tournament
Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure I could come up with a few more if I tried.

You are welcome to list the teams that have won a NC by relying heavily on the portal since I am assuming that is the ultimate goal of hiring Calipari
There was no goal to hire cal at all. He wasn’t on the list until our AD met with him to pick his brain about other coaches we should look at. On the way out the door he asked cal “what about you?”.
We were looking at Chris Jans but coming into an empty roster situation we were probably looking at a mizzou type of season. With cal it was almost a certainty that he would assemble a competitive roster.
The important thing for us is muss got a great deal of interest and momentum going and hiring cal will keep it going, plus it woke up the rich folks for nil.
Kentucky wanted shed of him and we did them a favor, both win, no need for either side to be angry about anything.
