Lonnie - can you imagine a true Bama fan (not LSU alters posing as Bama fans) starting a thread to troll SC on the day they are playing in the S16? It wouldn’t happen, largely because we’d all be rooting for SC to win their game and would be cheering with you.
This board has gone way down hill where any troll/alter can start 10 threads a day and make it impossible to sort through all the stupid posts to get to actual sports chatter (the new puppet one, the stupid Michigan alter that says nothing intelligent ever, all the LSU ones posing as Bama fans, etc.). I’m not saying you are an alter or complete troll, but look at the posts and posters that this thread has attracted. It was an alter/troll style of thread that wasn’t even that clever. Just a weak copycat of “Catholics vs. Convicts” that was actually a pretty solid saying ND fans came up with.

Or maybe, just maybe, it's because I live in the same state where bama's opponent is located and the game has been all over the news here? Maybe it's because Mr. Mac ran a commercial right after the sports segment this AM and I realized an opportunity?

Yes, and they both make threads like this one, regardless if they are masquerading as a fan of another team. In your case, it was trolling, but many of the threads are from alters and look very similar. Did that clear it up for you??

You’re a SC fan!!! Do you KNOW the difference between trash talk and trolling?
Hint: If your team finished dead last in the league and their season ended multiple weeks ago, then it isn’t trash talking. Again, just own it. It was a bad troll attempt…similar to what all the bad alters on this board do.
