Yep Bama has to feed Najee. Otherwise Mac could have a bunch more passing TDs as well. Let’s see what they do head to head.

Can’t argue the stats.
Jones is the better QB. Period.
I agree, Trask should come back next year for his best chance to win the Heisman.

Also, I’m not convinced the media won’t slobber all over themselves and give it to Sunshine after they beat the breaks off ND in the ACC title game.

Both are playing extremely well. I’d take either.

Both are putting up ridiculous stats

I gotta say the narrative certainly has changed.
In the preseason, UFs biggest question mark on this board was the skill players because they lost 4 WRs to the NFL.
Now everyone’s saying they’re just as good as Bama’s

Seems like Trask has a lot to do with that.

This is such a silly repeated argument.
Trask doesn’t have as good as a running game as Bama, so let’s knock him for throwing more TDs.

I think the running argument goes both ways. The lack of a running game means Trask gets a chance to pad stats. On the other hand, teams have to respect Bama’s run game while Trask throws against teams dropping into coverage.

How is it padding stats when Trask hasn’t played in hardly any garbage time?

Agree - all in all both are doing exactly what they are asked and are doing it to near perfection.
And I also agree with the above - I'm not convinced the national media is gonna sell either of them with Fields and Lawrence out there.

Their numbers are a reflection of the offenses they play in and the skill players around them.
Jones: doesn’t have as many passing TDs because Alabama has a superior red zone running game and they don’t have a red zone cheat code like Kyle Pitts. He has more yards per attempt because Alabama has/had perimeter burners like Smith and Waddle.
Trask: Florida doesn’t have the perimeter speed of Alabama, which sounds weird to say but it’s true. Toney is elusive as they come but if he and healthy Waddle were to race, it would be over almost immediately. Instead we have a bunch of big, tall receivers with enormous catch radiuses like Pitts (6’6), Grimes (6’5), Shorter (6’5), Henderson (6’3), etc. That’s part of why he doesn’t have the YPA of Jones.
They’re both playing at a very high level. I’d take Trask because 1) I’m a fricking homer and 2) Trask is just a gamer. He’s been effective playing from behind and with a lead. He usually plays his best in big games (LSU last year, Georgia/A&M this year, and has done all of it the last two years with a horrible (2019) and average (2020) running game.

100%.
All it takes is one giant performance by Lawrence in the ACCCG, and he wins it because of that and name recognition.

Yep, and the different number of games and general weirdness of the season will lead to a whole lot of "well stats can't really be compared", which will then lead to the obvious conclusion of "insert reason why Lawrence/Fields actually had the best season".

Either way both are Great QBs and very deserving. And unlike the robbery in 2018, these 2 QBs will get to decide it on the field

By the numbers:
Kyle Trask - 28 TDs in 6 games
Snot Nose Jones - 16 TDs in 6 games
Kyle Trask - 0 crying mugshots

Agree other than I don't know what robbery you are talking about.

Hmm, interesting point. I can see how one could make that argument.
