After reading the article, the only thing you take from it is a one line statement about football. That is why the world laughs at the Bammers.

Opinions of Auburn on this board should immediately be dismissed.

They've barely done anything in football for years.

According to this link from a Birmingham based law firm, Bama is drinking dat Baylor water.

Really has nothing to do with UA other than the fact that the university is located in the same city that she reported the rape.

Tell that to the law firm taking legal action against UA ...I guess? The fact that 27 University of Alabama students reported sexual assault claims in 2016 leading to only two arrests, makes me believe this has something to do with UA.

Or this:
quote:

When she went to the University of Alabama for counseling, a staff therapist told Megan she knew the Bunn family and therefore couldn’t help her.

They are afraid it might effect their standing with the US News and World Report listings. They would really have to doctor some of the other numbers.

We'll never know the truth of stories like this. She could be an innocent victim, or a phsycho or mentally ill or have been out for a lawsuit. He could be an innocent victim or a phycho rapist. When there's very little evidence and it's one person's word against another, I don't see how you convict in our legal system.

The lesson is to not put oneself in either of those positions.

Harvard had similar numbers and 18% were found to be unfounded. We don't know the circumstances. Rape accusations have increased across the board. It's a campus problem in America, not just at Alabama and Harvard.
LINK
In a world where Rolling Stone, UVA got sued by students who got falsely accused of rape. Would be reasonable they would be more careful.

Which is the right thing to do. In fact I think they're required to recuse themselves if there's a conflict pf interest.
She probably referred her to another counselor. But they left that part out of the story.
Safe to say that someone going to a counselor about rape didn't get kicked out and told they were on their own.

Besides her being a student and her going to a UA counselor after she reported it to authorities, UA has nothing to do with it.
A resident of Tuscaloosa (a businessman?) being accused of a rape that allegedly took place off campus has nothing to do with UA.
If she was raped by another student on campus and she hadn't already reported it to Tuscaloosa PD, then I would say UA has an obligation.
But that didn't happen.
