I had my doubts start of the season. I had my doubts middle of the season. I had my doubts before Auburn. Now I'm convinced. And what was the deciding moment?

Georgia game, Bryce rolls right, slips through some huge arms and hands, launched a no-look lateral like Terry Davis to Johnny Musso... then came the moment... though he is the size of an elf, he continued down the field and threw a block on a giant OLman/LB three times his size to try to spring his RB.

He could have stopped. He could have slid. He could have "opted out." He could have danced away like Cam Newton... BUT NOOOOOOOOO.. he took on the biggest guy he could find. So what if he glanced off like a BB hitting an Abrams... he did it...

...and won a Heisman in my eyes, and my deep respect.

(sorry, don't have GIF)

Don't be silly, he is half the size of an elf...football wise.

Around the entire defense while scoring a TD, like he did against LSU in 2010?

That was a real Heisman moment.

The play you described, while cool to watch, wasn’t his Heisman moment in my eye. Bryce Young had many more fantastic plays during this season. He had better plays in that game alone.

He sure does have an absolute cannon for being half the size of an elf. Pretty crazy

I understand your point. But...it wasn't about a "play," or "plays." It was about him as a football player.

I hate Alabama, but that lateral was beautiful.

Id say the lateral was the eye opener, but his running sealed the deal

Yep, most will not get it but that is not coachable talent right there. His instincts are Pete Maravich esque.

I had the same thoughts, we are lucky to have a fine person like him lead our team

If anyone knows how to make a gif, here's a good video which shows the lateral.

So you had doubts the entire season up to the Auburn game. I am sure glad Young finally played well enough in your opinion to warrant such magnanimous approval.

Lookie here Clem. You want to homer and start proclaiming "Heisman" for the right guard on your team before the season starts...fine. I don't give much of a shite about "Heisman." I watched the entire Coach Bryant era and never saw an Alabama player with a Heisman, and never lost any sleep about it.

This year I watched a lot of other-team games. I was casually looking for evidence of being a most valuable "football player" for his team, someone not an opt-out, quit, portal guy. When Young went downfield to throw that block, and also when he wrestled the ball back to recover the fumble, I saw a football player.

He will get my vote. And you? You can go F-yourself.

The kid has a ridiculous skill set. He seems like a pretty humble guy as well.

Disagree.

It was a special heads up play no one saw coming that extended the drive that gave us the lead in the conference championship game against the number one team in the nation. Heisman moment imo.

It was second down that resulted in a 12 yard play. It wasn’t special.

Heisman moments are supposed to be special.

Bryce Young Heisman momen

Preposterous! We were told that Bryce would be lucky to be the 3rd best QB in the SEC...

Disagree

I agree with the significance of the play, but a rivalry winning end of game performance after 7 sacks and 1000 QB pressures that started on a 97 yd drive with 1:27 on the clock and no timeouts with an RB4, hodge podge OL, and no WR1 to keep hope alive was the greatest Bama Heisman moment since Ingram in the wildcat vs USCe
