Who all is going to make a run at him? I think he would be a perfect fit at Missouri and a huge upgrade over Haith if they decided to make a change.

Barring a collapse down the stretch that causes us to miss the tourney, it appears our only shot at him is Cuonzo taking another job.

If he ends up elsewhere in the SEC, the meltdown in Knoxville will be an all-timer.

"It's going to need to be somebody that has the vision that Tennessee had," Pearl said. "Tennessee had a vision to try to get its men's basketball program to the level of its football program and where Pat Summitt had the women's basketball program. That was Tennessee's vision. They said, 'We're winning in everything else. We want to do it in men's basketball, too.' So that would be the job I'd want -- a job where somebody has that vision. It would almost need to be a school that's won a national championship in football or baseball. Somebody who's done it and wants to try to do it again in men's basketball. And I'm not saying I can win a national championship. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying it would need to be somebody who wants to try to do those things. Let's upgrade the facilities and schedule [national opponents] and engage the fans and be relevant. Just be relevant. That's what we did at Tennessee. I wanted Tennessee to matter to Kentucky fans. I wanted Tennessee to be a game Kentucky fans circled. We did that. And that's the kind of thing I would like to try to do again."

I'd say Bama. He could probably get them a new arena.

I wish he'd come to AU, but I find that highly unlikely unless we throw him some large cash.

We don't care if Bama hires Kiffie, but if they get Pearl, that would rustle eveybody's jimmies

It would take at least 5 million to get him to take a second look at Auburn and we both know we won't pay that much for a basketball coach.

This is all probably true. And our AD wouldn't even take a glance in his direction. And Haith probably has a minimum of 2 years grace right now absent something unforeseen.

I don't think most Tennessee fans would mind Kiffin going to Bama.

In fact, from what I heard on the radio today, most are openly hoping for it.

Pearl to Bama would be a gigantic meltdown though.

Because the NCAA mess? It isn't like Haith hasn't had his own issues but I can see an AD not wanting to take a look at him right after Haith.

Like back to back losses to the 2 worst teams in the conference?

I don't know any UT fans that would give 2 flying fricks if Kiffin went to Alabama. Now, if Bruce left West Knoxville to go coach at another SEC school. The arse hurt would be gaping.

I'd take him at Bama in a NY minute, and i hope like hell Battle is at least considering Pearl. Grant has been a big disappointment IMO - time to move on.

Kiffin- new OC
Pearl- new head Bball coach
Tony LaRussa- new baseball coach
BAMA instantly becomes national championship contenders in all sports except womens basketball, offer then gets extended to Geno Auriemma
Hey a fan can dream right.
