Fort Smith is a depressing city. But that is not considered NWA. It's the river valley.

This thread is making me though.

n related Arkansas news, one NWA town was just named top 10 saddest and most depressing places to live in the entire country.

Arky Sad so very Sad

To be fair, if part of your town was in Oklahoma, you would be sad too.

Fort Smith isn't a dangerous or really ugly place to live. It just suffers from a combination of:

1. Losing its best and brightest young people to the thriving metro 60 miles north.

2. Being the capitol of eastern Oklahoma.

it is the program which Arkansas dreams of one day becoming.
Why would we want to become a school that has to rely on women's sports for 80% of their titles?

ETA: And even now we're beating you in that sport too.

So all of your titles come in track & field which is a Men's and Woman's sport! Great point!

How many titles has LSU won in Men's track? I'll bet it's a very impressive number.

Don't know why all of these threads have to go into a flame war when it is LSU vs. Arkansas, with both sides participating. Best of luck to both teams.

Just message board shite. Honestly, outside of Little Rock games the interaction I've had has always been good with you coonasses. Crawfish is my all-time favorite food.

I also get why y'all are usually pissed at LR games, the Arkansas crowd there usually isn't exactly the most hospitable.

Another problem with Fort Smith is that it's a city built around large manufacturing facilities. There hasn't been a need for secondary education because of the low cost of living and competitive hourly wages the factories provide for only a high school education. Now that the factories are moving out of town Fort Smith is looking at some trouble. Higher level jobs are only trickling into the city, and UAFS is gradually stepping up its game, but Fort Smith still has a depressing forecast for the future.

WTF is this pic doing in this thread?

We ain't got time for no smack talk about track. TigerDropping has a Soccer Board, but no Track Board so that should indicate something right there.

Our new indoor baseball practice facility is going to be attached to that indoor track facility.

Tell your players not to drop the baton as they round first. That could rob you of an extra base and those are critical when you're making a run at Omaha!

Have em watch out for that last high hurdle if the third base coach green lights em home from second on that outfield gapper.

Kendall Rogers ?@KendallRogersPG 1h

Was talking to a few scouts a bit ago downstairs. Everyone is already buzzing about today's Nola/Stanek matchup. Can't say I blame them.
