so far this bama D has been disappointing, granted they have only played two games...I expect to see much improvement over the next 2 to 3 weeks

No, the Saints weren't even potentially good on D last year.
I was just messing with the comment. Bama obviously just doesn't match up with Johnny Football well. They'll do fine against most teams. I think their D will be good. But passing teams might give them some issues.

Thats how I feel about our defense as well. I know they are playing vanilla and are about to shake things up a little so I guess I'll hold out judgement until tomorrow.
