So you think he’s not as good of a coach even though he did win all those games? You can vacate wins but it doesn’t take away from the fact that he won an arse load of games that year. You should be worried because that’s what he does on a regular basis.

Is this one of those “I’d rather my team not make the CFP than make it and get beat” type of posts?

What?

Kelly is 60 years old, we know what kind of coach he is. He'll get LSU a lot of wins. But championships? I guess there's a first time for everything.

Yep, your exactly right. Just like it was the first time for Saban, Miles and Coach O when they got their NC’s at LSU. Got it baw, you just proved my point!

Not quite, those guys only had a few years under their belts. We didn't know what they'd turn out to be. They were in their late 40s / early 50s still learning to coach.

Brian Kelly has shown us what he's turned out to be.

You can't be that slow? I know of two coaches that wouldn't get hired by most high schools right now that won them at LSU. No school is easier to win at and has more built in advantages in recruiting.

We've come full circle to the "literally anyone can win at LSU" argument.

Speaking of slow, try reading the thread, guy.

Miles was mid 50's, Orgeron was very late 50's. Kelly is only 60.

So you're saying Kelly has more experience than those guys and could maybe be even better?

Yes keep on reading as well if you can't get a simple concept yet.

Kelly's only championships were after a decade of grinding (for once not that kind) in FCS.

He could totally win something significant at LSU, it absolutely could happen. But until he wins anything at FBS we should reserve the right to remain skeptical of his abilities to win big games.

You're fans, you can live in fantasyland and I'm not going to stop you.

Notre Dame was as relevant as a service academy in the 20 years prior. Leaves the winningest coach in program history. Twice national coach of the year. You hired ULL coach lol, I see why your such sappy count.
