Brian Kelly is setting himself up for a very strong run.

After listening to the strategy that the LSU coaching staff had in place now, there’s no more convincing that needs to be done that would tell me BK is set to pull off a top portal class along with a top recruiting class. He knows how to manage this NIL situation better than anyone. THE FUTURE LOOKS VERY VERY BRIGHT AT LSU and he said it himself to get ready for a national championship soon!

I wish Kelly would just STFU sometimes and stop making himself look like a fricking stooge. Les Miles and Ed Orgeron won championships at LSU and neither had 1/3 the resume of Kelly. But they fielded some tough LSU teams during their stints. Kelly’s teams have all been soft as Charmin in his first 3 years.
I’m not a Kelly fan to say the least.

Downvote me all you want, but LSU should have hired Napier. They'd be in the playoffs this year with him, and he's a much better culture fit.
BK has been exactly what he's always been.
ND is ranked #4 and in the playoffs 3 years after he's gone. Some of that is because ND has an easier schedule, but LSU has the better recruiting classes. ND doesn't have a single 5 star.
And ND beat Texas A&M while LSU lost by 15.
All I'm saying is I bet you won't find any ND fans crying because he left. And regardless of what LSU fans say, they won't be crying if he left tomorrow either.

To me this is the biggest difference. LSU had strong defense whether the offense was good or not. The foundation was built on it old school style and it allowed an offense to get what they could get which was enough to win. Of course the outlier was 2019 when they had both.
Back in the day it was defense first and I miss those days. There are too many rule changes that handcuff defenses these days.
