As I've said already this morning, Lee should let it go. This is another reason why. This man is a private figure and slander, libel, defamation of character, etc are all things he could go after Lee with if Lee continues this course of action.

Additionally, as I said earlier, this will only turn up heat on Troop in Miami. Lee would be wise to stop at this point.

And trending up. Expect a commitment to sue the shite out of Jeff Lee to come when he officially visits the courthouse next week.

The problem is, you have said you have information that at least part of what Lee has claimed is true. Truth is an absolute defense to any defamation of character claim. If the claim becomes arguing over semantics or whether or not the guy is actually a booster per NCAA rules, it becomes pretty difficult to win a slander case.

Some truth, yes. However, nothing illegal about a person helping a friend cover mortgage to stay in home, etc. IF this is the guy, that is. The wrong would be setting up payments gor a player to receive while enrolled, providing a car, etc. thise were the claims that I - and whomever the accusations end up against - dispute.

I agree. I know you should never judge a book by its cover, but this just looks like a guy who thinks he's more important than he actually is.

It may be considered illegal by the NCAA. Nobody can know for sure. All I was saying is that if JLee' accusations are partially true, then a slander case against him may be difficult (not impossible) to win.
