Hmm so we can start those types of threads if he ends up in Tusc. That is a good consolation prize.

ha. good point.
i think team chemistry is best if you don't add people that have emotional baggage to the mix... at least TRY to avoid people that are obviously conflicted.

Sorry, old-timer. Didn't realize that you had gathered so much wisdom in your extra 3 months on TD. Help me to understand - are all Sept 2010 posters complete douches?
There's a key difference between joining Sept 2010 and Nov and Dec 2010.
You know what it is... you're just too ashamed to admit it.

He absolutely needs to go where he wants to be. It would be a damn shame to let your family decide where you are going to school. It stinks to high heaven.

You're only as good as your last post.
You suck.

I could care less where Calloway ends up going to school. The choice should be his to make. If his adopted father required him to face the man he had given his word to and explain the decision then the father did his job of giving Brent advice on how to be a man.
The choice of where to spend the next 4 or 5 years should still be Brent's to make. He is the one that will have to put in the work and live with or bask in the results of that choice.
Once he gets to the school he chose he will likely be allowed to choose which side of the ball he wants to play on. Unless he has much better vision than it appears to this point his best chance to make it to the league would be on the D. I doubt even on D he will end up as a LB. He is much better suited to be a Strong safety or dime back (star in UA system)
In the end, he faced the man he had given his promise to and said what he needed to say. Whatever he chooses now I wish him well.

i would think he would make a good safety at bama but if he wants to go to the barn and play. i have always been with the kid. when i went into the airforce my parents had no say so i was 18 and could do what i wanted to. it should always be his choice to do what he wants to. i wish him luck either way.

What if Brent said "you're not my dad!" and stormed off to auburn...would that make the barners feel better?

I was hoping we could talk about cam
In this thread. Remember when you were up 24-0 and playing "tonights gonna be a real good night" during tv timeouts. You know since we are off topic and all

If he ends up at Auburn, which I don't think he does, he will play running back for a year and either develop in that year or move to linebacker when we get another marquee back to carry the ball with Dyer. But he won't play linebacker his freshman year at Auurn, we just don't have enough depth at running back right now.

Oh I agree with you, ultimately I think the parents should help them with it but the decision should be made by the kid who has to move there and spend three to four years there. Callow ay's parents looked very pissed off at the all-star game when he swapped to auburn and I have thought he would end up back at Bama out of family pressure.
I really dont understand this mentality at all, did his parents go to Bama or anything? I graduated from Auburn but if my nephews wanted to go to Bama and play I would wear crimson and go support them. It is their life.

BC isn't gonna make or break our team. I do feel a little sorry for him, with the changing back and forth it seems. He needs to chose someone, and STICK with it,no matter who. Best of luck to the kid

looks like both teams is doing well enough whether they sign him or not. just wish him well at either place. if he wants a shot at rb go to au. if he wants to play defense for bama then go there. he will probably be on defense no matter where he chooses
