Auburn will move him to LB...he is probably closer to 225 and runs a 4.6...not blazing, but a pretty fast OLB, and he is overall a very good athlete. They (de barn) don't have the depth at LB that Alabama does and with his concern over depth charts..he is choosing the school where he will see more time soon...but I will be SHOCKED if that time is at RB other than for a day or two in spring training just to fulfill some promises.

Sure, quite a bit, even after 2008's class. But those were positions were reloading.

No they weren't.

At least he was honest about it, but I've never seen a highly touted guy admit to something like this. Kids's got character.

The think that still bugs me is that he was committed for a year and a half. Alabama's LB corps has been deep the entire time. Did he just figure that out? Regardless, I wish him the best, just not the week of Thanksgiving.

Ask former barner RB Vincent Harris about that.

All In baby

Just how much are all the Barn fans "all in" for each year?

we only have 2 scholarship running backs for next year. that is a huge position of need. we wanted to sign 1 speed back and 1 big back this year so he would fit the big back mold

No. But he did figure out his pockets weren't deep enough. He made the decision to change that.

Brent Calloway: The depth was too much
Calloway, during an interview this afternoon, told Rivals' Mike Ferrell that "the depth there is..., I can't deal with it" when asked about trying to compete for a spot at RB at Alabama. Earlier in the interview, he practically laughed off the suggestion of him competing for a LB slot. If you have a Rivals sub, the link to the interview is below.

If he does not believe he is good enough to win a starting role at Bama then he is better going somewhere with less talent.

If you want to be the best compete against the best!

The move makes sense to me, if he really wants to be an RB. The only thing that worries me is that...will he make it? The reason it makes sense is if he is successful, then goes to the NFL as a RB, then more $$$. I don't know but Bama is still recruiting RBs. Some kids don't want to compete for a position and play right away and then go to the NFL ASAP. It's about the NFL, not really going to college (like it or not).

Don't worry about the folks that act like a jilted girlfriend.

Ask former barner RB Vincent Harris about that.

You can also ask another AU RB named Vincent about AU promising him time at RB when other coaches were telling him he was a LB.

He didn't go by Vincent though...he went by "Bo".

Congrats to Auburn.

The only thing I didn't like about it was the way it went down. After being committed to Bama for about a year and a half, and constantly saying his commitment is firm, he decides to de-commit and commit to Alabama's biggest rival just a couple of weeks before signing day.

Almost like maybe a certain towel waving coach planned it that way.

Maybe you should blame your piece of shite fans.

quote:

"First off, I'm the one that has to attend college at whatever school I choose and I must say it is very pathetic of you grownups posting stuff and sending me messages wishing I would break my leg," Calloway said in a post on his Facebook page. "Seriously, [it] is worse dealing with the fans than [making] the decision, but now I see who was a fan and who wasn't. I'm shocked at some of the things that people have sent me, but I'm happy and that's all that should matter."

Fans at da bunker who claimed he wasn't a 5-star???

Kewl.

About as classy as your student section waving fake money at Cam and hurling cuss words at him.
Or about as classy as playing "Take the money and run" before the game.
Or about as classy as sending him messages hoping he breaks his leg (shocked).

Wait, nevermind. You tards are the tits on "class."

Yeah, kinda like the auburn fans that were sending Julio Jones messages telling him to enjoy his 4 years of mediocre football. And telling him they hope he breaks his fricking legs like Prothro. Or how about the auburn fans that stalked our fricking recruits and their family? You really want to try and compare the shite that our fanbases do? auburn fans are no better than Alabama fans
