Then clearly he needs to be disciplined by someone to instill some basic common sense

Idk about disciplined. This is a great teaching moment. I hope he has learned his lesson.

Having your coach say “wrong place, wrong time” likely isn’t the lesson that needs to be learned here

They weren't at a club.

Not what the detective said.

Miller did not hand the gun to anyone. Miles, who had been in Miller's car earlier in the night, got it out of the back seat.

and watches the victim get shot,

While Miller may have seen Davis shooting at the Jeep, there has been no testimony that he saw anyone actually get shot or had any knowledge of any casualties until later.

Other than all of that, you were spot on.

The text from Miles to Miller stated that Miles had been threatened. It’s possible that Miller did not know that he was driving up to an active altercation. But it wasn’t just “hey man I left my gun in your car”

Sure it is. It LITERALLY is wrong place wrong time seeing as Davis ran around the jeep and put Miller’s car in the line of fire. What could be more wrong place wrong time?

Then add that Miller potentially was only there to get dumbass Miles’ gun out of his vehicle and we could easily be looking at a legitimate wrong place wrong time situation.

Miller could have the same exact reaction, though.

“You’re WHAT is in my car?! frick man, I was just dropping you off at the bar you count. Why is your gu…..frick it I’m bringing it to you. Never do this again.”

Wrong place wrong time infers no culpability. In the best case scenario, Miller was incredibly stupid and put himself into a very avoidable dangerous situation. Excusing it as being wrong place, wrong time does not teach any lesson. It’s a “it could have happened to anyone” excuse. Stop being so dense

Miller was born on November 22 2002 making him 20. And would still be underage in possession of a handgun.

Miller’s vehicle was used to stop the victim and her male companion from fleeing.

Miller’s sole purpose for being there was to bring the handgun, aka hand off the pistol.

“While Miller may have seen Davis shooting at the Jeep”, aka watch the victim get shot, likely screaming, etc.

The shooting occurred near the off-campus entertainment district called “The Strip” in Tuscaloosa, police said. Aka a club.

Reality is Miller is culpable in the death of a 23 year old woman.

C'mon, man. How likely is that between 2 buddies out on the town? And Miller KNEW he was bringing that gun into a volatile situation.

The correct reaction if he had a brain would've been to say, "Hey, man, I don't think it's a great idea to bring you your gun right now. I think you need to cool off and back off before you find big trouble."

It's 1.30 AM. Someone suddenly asking for their gun ain't up to good things.

The spin from the Bama loyalist is a fun read.

Let’s say Brandon Miller was a player for LSU. Innocent until proven guilty wouldn’t be in your post history.

Miller is 20. He’s older than a lot on NBA rookies.

Was Miller out on the town? Article says he dropped off Miles but didn’t want to go in.

He did. He shouldn’t have brought it imo.

My bad on that one.

quote:

Says who? Provide one source that actually said that. Just one.

quote:

Miller’s sole purpose for being there was to bring the handgun, aka hand off the pistol.

A pistol his teammate left in his car earlier in the night. You know damn well that saying "hand off" implies Miller actually handling the gun. That's a claim that doesn't fit the testimony.

quote:

While Miller may have seen Davis shooting at the Jeep”, aka watch the victim get shot, likely screaming, etc.

So seeing someone shooting at a vehicle means that Miller could see the victim get shot? How do you know? Were the windows down? Was the dome light on? If she was "likely screaming," did Miller hear her? Were his windows down?

quote:

The shooting occurred near the off-campus entertainment district called “The Strip” in Tuscaloosa, police said. Aka a club.

So, apartments near the strip is synonymous with "a club"? People just use those terms interchangably?

You really got me on the age thing. Well done, sport.

Oates says Miller has never been in trouble. He’s only 5 months into his Bama career and he’s already an accessory to a murder.
