The name floating around is Lebby. Lebby as OC, Pruitt as DC. There was an article out earlier this week about Jeff Lebby to Bama talks

How many head coaches have Alabama and Auburn each had in their history?

Want to do championships next?

Congrats on retaining mediocre coaches for years.

Applewhite - 2007
McElwain - 2008-2011- two national titles
Nussmeier - 2012-2013 - national title
Kiffin - 2014-2016 - national title
Daboll - 2017 - national title
Locksley - 2018
Sarkisian - 2019-2020 - national title
O’Brien - 2021-2022 - 0 national titles

Which is why Alabama OCs keep getting hired as head coaches, and why O'Brien wasn't renewed, though I think he probably prefers the NFL. Honestly, I would too.

Think it is a possible win-win for both Bama and the Patriots.

The Pats get an actual OC - and Mac Jones gets someone who understands offenses. That can’t be anything but a win for their offense.

Bama will hire someone who understands the college game - and hopefully someone with better situational awareness than BOB. I hope this is a win (though I think changing the DC this year was way more important).

Saban goons hire who for OC?
It’ll be their 6th OC in the last 8 seasons. Not optimal.

60 % of the other five won national championships. I'll take 10 coordinators in 10 years if six of them win national championships. You would too.

Tide fans blamed him for Saban’s failures. They’ll do the same to the next guy. Sad.

No, what was sad was having first and goal at the 2 and throwing 3 passes. What was sad was breakdown after breakdown in protection making Bryce scramble. What was sad was watching a once dominant team upfront become Vandy. What was sad was 16 turnovers. What was sad was ending every drive with 3 instead of 7.

You know he sucked or you wouldn't be defending him.

Situational awareness for sure.

Sark would note a defensive alignment and come back to it four plays later for a touchdown. BOB was out there seemingly running the exact same scripted plays regardless of anything happening on the field — his tendencies were embarrassingly predictable.

I really don't have anything against the man, but he's definitely more suited to the NFL, where the parity of talent is more of a concern.
