Actually it sounds to me like the school told them they couldn’t travel to events and they completely ignored them ?

So the University effectively cancelled two consecutive seasons, but they ignored the first cancelation.

In the end it's a push. They lost 1 season either way.

As the esteemed Gordon Gecko once said, a fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place. They'll have zero chance of winning a lawsuit if the students knowingly violated university policy.

A policy that is knowingly violated by the rest of the campus ?

The rest of campus??? The rest of campus isn't part of a student extracurricular organization under university sponsorship. The university didn't tell 30,000 students they couldn't go to the beach. They did tell organizations they couldn't compete as a sponsored organization in certain events.

Like it or not, they have zero chance of winning that suit.

Because we all know that lawsuits are not won by groups that shitty lawyers claim have "zero chance of winning". Reading on other websites that the members fished in an event, but did not do it as a representative of the Auburn Bass Club.

I’d be embarrassed for ANY college that fielded football and basketball teams players crashing to opppnents without a mask, and expected young men with ZERO risk to fish, outdoors, and be forced to wear a f&$@ing mask.

War Eagle. Way to tell the Nazis to effoff.

Don’t. Stop.

How do you cheat in fishing?

um, using unapproved bait or products that cause fish to bite

but Aub is not accused of cheating here

they are in trouble because some a-hole made a big deal about a kid not wearing a King Flu mask

fricking ridiculous

anyone who cares about sportmanship should be pissed - Auburn is getting railroaded over nonsense surrounding the Scamdemic

It has given all the good little Bundists in this country a chance to exercise their totalitarianism.

Actually, I've heard that Auburn is having lectures on Critical Race theory and students in overwhelmingly white colleges (Like the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of Agriculture) are being told to attend them. I'm going to further research this to make sure it's true. Between this and Jesse Goldberg, I don't know what has happened to my Alma mater. Auburn used to be one of the most conservative campuses in the country. There wasn't even a College Democrat club when I was there. There wasn't any interest.

Start worrying when they begin going after the frats like LSU is doing.

I have supported this program with my company in the past. It was a fun thing to do and I was proud to be a part of it.

But the school looks bad on this. Very bad. Bad with other outside supporters as well. Having a protocol that allows sports that have physical collisions with big groups of people and fans but not two guys fishing in a boat is just silly and posturing.

The entire thing is silly, stupid and looks terrible on the University.
