So wouldn't that be a bunch of true freshmen and JUCO's he brought in?

Sounds like you just proved his point

If you consider 5 juco's out of 12 "It was actually a team full of jucos he signed".........then sure.
If you read the article.......

Five of the seven incoming freshman played in 2014 Area Code games, while three were named to all-state teams
and as I stated, his record declined every year he was at Zona.

So, 12 first year players. What point are you trying to prove here other than being a moron?

I'm the moron?
How much do you think those 7 true freshman contributed to that team that year?

You said it was a team of players recruited by the previous HC

You don't realize that true freshman contribute a lot in college baseball, do you? They especially do on a team that hadn't been to the tournament in the previous 3 years. There are 9 positions on the field. So, the most likely scenario is that at least 2/3 of the players contributing were brought in by Johnson that season.

Exactly. Again, I am the moron?
You do realize they sign classes every year. His class is not the one that put up the stats for that team. It was players already on the roster..........hence, he had players the previous coach recruited.

Maybe he's trying to get votes for the worst poster bracket.

I spent 5 years in the minors. I understand how the game of baseball works.

Your take is that the players that didn't make the tournament in 3 years were playing over the 12 players that Johnson brought in which included 5 juco players? The juco guys came in to sit on the bench?

I'm surprised that Woodward didn't wait to take a swing at Corbin. I don't think it would have worked, but still surprised. That's the kind of splash that he tries to make.

college baseball signs JUCO guys every year. They are just like freshman.........some pan out, some don't. Some guys go JUCO because of grades. Some guys go JUCO because JUCO offers full rides. Some guys go JUCO so they can be drafted every year. You aren't going to have a consistent program living off of JUCO guys.
ETA I grew up with a guy who could get hot and carry us for two weeks. He was JUCO player of the year in Florida. He went to UF and didn't hit his weight for two consecutive years.

Many at Tiger Rant had convinced themselves that it was Corbin and that the delay was due to waiting for Vandy to finish their season. Shooters gotta shoot.
