STupid question, but if he was gambling on college football games, how does that come back on Ole Miss, unless he was controlling the spread through crappy calls/running up score.. and, even then, if it was all on him (hard to believe that though) how could it come back on Ole Miss?
Working in an athletic department at any NCAA Institution - Sports Gambling is the cardinal sin. Doesnt matter if you are gambling on your own team or even your own sport.

Did you know an Ole Miss head coach's teeth never stop growing its whole life?

Yeah if OM knew about gambling tendencies on the part of a head coach and didn't do something immediately, they're fricked

Ole Miss fans seem to have a hard time understanding that when a coach commits NCAA violations while at your school, the school is going to get in trouble. Case in point, a lot of posters were under the impression that "it was all under a previous staff" was somehow a valid reason why Ole Miss wasn't going to get hammered for the ACT fraud. Let's pretend for a second that every single violation occurred during the Nutt tenure (ludicrous, though they believed it), the Ole Miss program was still in deep shite for what happened under the previous staff.
If Freeze was betting on college football, the NCAA is going to destroy the program even if he's already gone.

We get it. You are talking about the rumor that Bo Wallace was gambling on Ole Miss football games and that Freeze was somehow involved.
It's been a rumor for quite some time. You've provided absolutely no further evidence to support it, nor have you indicated when this story might actually break (beyond being a message board rumor). Thanks for your contributions to the board, but it's really a whole lot of nothing unless you've got new info beyond some hearsay.

Would be about the only thing that would actually push the NCAA towards the Death Penalty.
There's no coming back from that, if that's in fact the latest bombshell.

I know this sounds like I'm backing off the story. I am not. The big story will drop mid-morning to afternoon tomorrow. say what you will but I was right about the NCAA response and will be proven right about this.

Do we have any confirmation on the gambling thing? OP just implicated Bo as perhaps the main player in this.
These are pretty extreme allegations so something more than hint and innuendo really is needed.

Huge news breaking this afternoon in the Hugh Freeze/Ole Miss scandal. Rebels might as well get ready for NCAA round 3.

Maybe replace the Egg Bowl trophy with Freeze's head?
