Auburn has the NIL money, the PTB people do not trust Harsin with it right now. Whoever takes his place will have it.

1. Sanders- Unknown but likely the type the AD would aim for. Looks good on paper but fine print says extreme gamble. Not proven at a big enough school.

2. Aranda- Not enough experience to be considered proven. Only a slight step above a coordinator.

3. Lane-Has proven more time than not that he's not a great coach. He's been at 2 top schools and couldn't do anything.

4. Mark Stoops-He is one of my top choice because he has built something from nothing at a school that isn't in a good position. But worry about him being another Dan Mullins.

5. Jeff Grimes- No more coordinator to HC offers.

1. Freeze - Proven that he can build and develop a team. There is no room for politics in hiring a HC.

2. Mark Stoops - Proven at Kentucky but not known he could win anything big under pressure.

Better than nothing in no order: (None I want to gamble on)

Deion Sanders (just to stir some hype and get players. A stepping stone).

Petrino

Wishful thinking. Auburn is a cesspool. Jimmy fricking sexton won’t even be able to start a strong enough rumor

No one is scared of barn. People are rightfully concerned for the career of the next guy who takes the job at auburn. Barn wants to be bama, and it’s just not going to happen. Outside of having a once in a generation player, and then unbelievable luck, barn is nothing. I would have thought by now y’all would have realized who you are, but it appears you haven’t. You are going to end up firing Harsin, then you’ll hire your next coach and after not being saban he’ll be fired after two years. Coaches see this and know that there is no chance at stability there.

We just need a solid hire and get the boosters to write some checks. JHS Voodoo should take care of the rest here...

I don't want him but Ole Miss at it's best is always a 2nd tier school in the conference. If any of the top schools want their coach they will be gone.

True statement. This was known since early this summer. The money people were waiting to see if ZHarsin survived ( most didn't want him), but yesterday makes the decision a lot easier. The money is there, but it will only be spent on a coach they fully support.

Have you seen AUs facilities? Draw a 200 mile circle around Oxford and then one around Auburn. See the recruits available inside that circle. I don't like Kiffin, but he would listen. He has in the past.

The fact that deon is in your list shows how pitiful your situation is.

1. Deion Sanders, Jackson State

Deion Sanders wouldn't make it at any SEC program as a HC.

Baylor to auburn is a lateral move.

You might think that’s not the case, but it is.

4. Mark Stoops, Kentucky - his resume at Kentucky on the field and on the recruiting trail speaks for itself. He learned at the feet of some GOATs Hayden Fry, Bill Snyder, and Big Bro Bob
I don’t think bigger schools would give him the leash or patience for his style of coaching to succeed. It’s effective but not always pretty. Nowadays, schools give a coach 1-2 years to flip a roster and get results before they’re on the hot seat. I truly think Kentucky and Stoops are in the perfect marriage and he’d regret it if he left

He built OM from nothing and beat way more talented filled Bama team. Now he has Liberty playing with teams out of their league. At a top school with talent he should be even better.

Auburn would have to put 24/7 surveillance on Hugh’s cellphones. He’d dang sure bring the religious angle with him though, and that may go pretty far in southern living rooms.

He says this as he sits at the bottom of the steps looking up…….you guys suck, your team sucks, your incestual dysfunctional athletic department sucks and your fan base/boosters all think it’s over a decade ago.

Deion and the OC from Baylor are the only ones that you have a chance with.

None of the other 3 are going to leave what they already have to be in the same state as Saban
