Just top to bottom SEC doesn't have many teams playing that well at the moment.

Hoping for some favorable match ups and good games as the Tigers won't be carrying the SEC torch this year. Outlook is not good. Good luck.

Agreed. Could be a blood bath without some favorable matchups.

Bama should do fine if they make the playoff against any opponent not named Oklahoma. That is the only one I would be worried about.

Alabama would drill either Oklahoma team.

Speak for yourself

OM or MSU could end the season with a Sugar Bowl win

No doubt they would be a fav, but if Notre Dame/Michigan State shows up I like Bama's chances.

What in the hell are you talking about?

Teams still in CFP hunt
Alabama (10-1) @ Auburn
Florida (10-1) vs Florida State

Bowl eligible already
Mississippi State (8-3) vs Ole Miss
Georgia (8-3) @ Georgia Tech
Ole Miss (8-3) @ Mississippi State
LSU (7-3) vs Texas A&M
Texas A&M (8-3) @ LSU
Arkansas (6-5) vs Missouri
Tennessee (7-4) vs Vanderbilt
Auburn (6-5) vs Alabama

Bowl eligible with win this weekend
Kentucky (5-6) vs Louisville
Missouri (5-6) @ Arkansas

Bowl DOA
Vanderbilt (4-7) @ Tennessee
South Carolina (3-8) vs Clemson

We heard the same thing about tOSU last year. Bama is the best team in the SEC, by a wide margin. That doesn't automatically make them the best team in the country though.

That ended in 2013.

I have a feeling the bowl season will actually be very favorable to the SEC teams. We canalbalized on each other, but we're still heads and shoulders better than most teams as a whole.

But it'll be funny when the east does better than the west again.

Yes, but Florida will play in that game.

So, this week I've read aTm, OM and MSU have a shot at the Sugar Bowl. Their chances are very, very slim. (I'll give you a hint, it's shaped like a tire.)

Yes, most of these teams are going to lose a bowl game.

If Florida gets killed two weeks in a row either MS school would be a more attractive choice with how terrible Florida fans travel. A&M could go if they kill a hapless LSU team.

Based on what? LSU, Florida, Georgia and Auburn all struggled with inferior OOC opponents. Arkansas lost to Toledo and Texas Tech. Ole Miss lost to Memphis.

A 3 loss SEC East champion UF would get chosen over any 3 loss team from the West that didn't win the division.

Particularly one that they blasted earlier in the year.

If UF loses and the Egg Bowl winner goes to the Sugar Bowl, that'll be ugly. Both teams have suspect pass defenses and would likely meet up with Baylor, Okie State or the Sooners.

I'm giving you reasons you choose to believe them or not. Florida getting whipped by the third place ACC team and getting blasted by Alabama would give the committee pause to reconsider putting them in. It's not that complicated.

Fair enough. I would say it is pretty close. I suppose Ole Miss fans would be more willing to travel if that situation goes down.

State and A&M fans would travel to NOLA too and in big numbers. It would be State's first Sugar bowl ever.
