I hate looking at overall bowl wins.

For a very long decade, Arkansas looked at a bowl game as nothing more than a reward for a good season. Houston Nutt never went to a bowl with a hunger to win it.

For him, a bowl game was just for fun.

We have shut Ole Miss out in 25% of our games

Tiebreaker goes to A&M

But LSU was terrible until the last 15 years.

You must have carried a 5 rather than 1 somewhere.

Assuming that L5U has been in a bowl each of the last 15 years, the Tigers have played in roughly 1/3 of their bowls in the last 15 years as opposed to 2/3 of their bowls occurring in the previous 100 years.

Sounds like that proves our point.

Arky has a .388% bowl win record? Didn't know that
That the "upside"...they are an outstanding .250% against the SEC in bowl games and in fact they never beat an SEC West team in a bowl after 8 tries.

Vanderbilt: 7

Pacing ourselves, if we average about 1 a decade it will even out the early Dores domination. Dores had a dozen or so conference championships before most current SEC schools had their first.

32 bowl games in 60, or so, years (20 of which saw fewer than 8 or 9 total bowl games played), proves your point?

Good one

Please don't tell me you think 30+ bowl game have been played every year since their inception....

The West is hard
Try beating the same team year after year. It's hard work!

Whoever won the last meeting should get the tiebreaker.

L5U has only played football since 1940? Damn.

Bama's had a team since 1892.

UF is making their 42nd bowl, they're 21-20 through their first 41.

There was a grand total of one (1) bowl game played until the mid-30's. So, pretty much everyone has been playing since 1940, when it comes to bowl games.

One little Google search would go a long way in helping you not look like a dumbass.

Wow. That makes Bama's 63 bowls even more impressive. Thanks for finding that for me!

You might want to double check the numbers on how many big 5 bowl games appearances LSU made, Paco.

So we've gone from total bowl appearances to "big 5" in order to try and call LSU bad? Why don't you move the goalposts a bit more?

ETA: better idea. Why don't you compile the big five bowl game appearances for all SEC schools and get back to me.

Nah, I have better things to do like clip my toenails.

All I'm saying is that yeah, 47 sounds great but only about a third of those are premium bowls. You're welcome to look up Bama's bowl records if you want to see something a bit more impressive, though.
