A lot of the fan base hopes he does. I would like JD back. Nothing wrong with a little competition. He provides electric plays with his legs. If he doesn't improve in the passing game, you have to give Nuss or Howard a shot.

All trolling and bullshite aside, this is a rare example of the good side of NIL.
Boutte is an elite talent, before his injury he was maybe the best WR in the SEC, maybe all of CFB. Big, strong, fast, good hands.
That TD against UGA in the conference championship, we saw that type of play a lot in the past; he makes a seemingly harmless catch, most guys go down within 5 yds after the reception. But because he's got a couple yds of space, he rips through the defense and scores.
He still projects as a first rd pick, but was personally dissatisfied with his performance. So he's coming back, at the risk of reinforcing that he's no longer the WR he was, to prove he's better than what he did this year. You know he's going to get a solid NIL deal (he has a baby to feed now).
