there is a distinct difference between recruiting rules and the actual rules for the game of football.
The rules come from the same body. Auburn fans loved the Saban rule because it leveled the playing field for their lazy arse coaches against Saban, Carroll, and Meyer. It gave them more time to duck hunt.
I don't see the difference in a rule that targets 3 coaches versus one that targets six teams. If you support one, you should support the other, and vice versa.

He was "bumping" into recruits, and visiting with them, during dead periods. A dead period is when coaches can't have face to face meetings with recruits. Hence, cheating.

Nope. That is not the Saban rule.
And In fact, what you described isnt even against the rules. The bump is how you get around the rule.

Bumping is not having a PLANED MEETING and was not ILLEGAL.

You are confused with the Saban rule and the bump rule. What you described and called cheating above is the bump rule. That is bumping into a recruit while visiting a school during a dead period.
The Saban rule prevents coaches from doing spring in person evaluations.
You have yet to tell me how Saban cheated by violating a rule that didnt exist at the time.

@tngstreet: Bingo. "@Josh_Moon: If you're pushing for a rule change because an opposing coach has outwitted you, maybe you're not that good of a coach?"

No, at the time talking to recruits was fine.

If Saban is such a defensive coach he should try and figure a way to stop it instead of whining about it. Respect to Les he actually tries to figure a way to stop it instead of B!tching about it.

I clearly explained the difference. There is a distinct difference between recruiting rules and the actual rules of the game. Can't help you if refuse to see a difference.

If he was doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing, why did they have to change the rules to make it illegal?
LOL @ Josh Moon, if he's directing that at Nick Saban. Yeah, Josh, Nick Saban isn't a very good coach. your football insights are quite keen.
