Nah. There is a reason euros have been reviewed on a case by case basis for YEARS prior to the recent madness. Euros will continued to be allowed to play as long as they’re paid basic living expenses and can prove it with receipts. Deal with it.

GTFO. If you played professionally in any country, you should be illegal. People losing their minds over Bediako, while being ok about De Ridder is hypocritical as hell. Both have no business in college.

The crux of the argument that euro pros deserve eligibility is essentially "but NCAA and our magical concept of amateurism does not exist in the old world."

You do realize Auburn is playing a former pro right?

But see he took money in a magical land that has never seen an NCAA and hasn't even heard of athletic amateurism.

College kids are paid 10x more than the euro “pros” coming over.

Exactly. They’re also paid more than G league players for the most part. So the question becomes, why is this the line in the sand for the NCAA?

Euro vs G league is an apples to oranges comparison. Trying to come back to college after foregoing eligibility is a watermelons to grapes comparison.

I find it interesting that such a MAGA/America First website supports squatting slavs tainting our college basketball. Make that make sense!

If Oats won that case he would have killed a great sport that is still fairly solid

This is the dumbest comment I’ve seen on here today. Since 2023 Bediako has totaled $530,000. That kind of money won’t get you any 5 star coming out of high school. Probably won’t get you a top 50 caliber player

They will, just by fricking them in seeding. No courts or legal involved.

Just put them in Florida’s side of the bracket. Florida the two and Bama the 7?

Cheaters gonna cheat. I love how Alabama acts like they weren’t behind this.

Minimum

scholarships and no post season

They didn't even wait to ask. They just played him and it's a written rule. Just because a coach and a home town judge thought it trivial.

Minimum

Because truth be told it's an absolute from the top down failure... as the PTB could have easily stopped this but rubber stamped it with their silence.

You do realize the reason he had to give up eligibility right? It was because he was about to become a paid athlete. Same thing your Euro league guy was. A paid athlete. Also not sure if you’re aware, but things have changed since then. Bediako reported earnings of $530,000 total in 3 years in the G league. That’s less than $170,000 per year. That kind of money won’t get you a top 100 player out of high school. So let’s just stop with the self righteous bull crap. The NCAA doesn’t have any standards any longer. If they do it’s double standards
