Change the thread name to Booger McFarland picks A&M last. That's what we want to talk about.

Well, we can sure develop DBs; someone needs to link That gif of Booger running down the field with Mathieu vs Arky (iirc). Funny as hell. pimp:

Perspective is everything. If LSU were Arkansas, that would be seen as improvement.

Auburn sure is getting a lot of love for a team that finished the season 1-4 w/the only win coming against Samford.

Good call Ag!

Obviously just doesn't want to be accused of being a homer. Booger knows LSU #1

If LSU finishes 6th, as long as A&M is the team that finishes 7th, LSU fans would consider it a good season.

This season is important for Les. Some think Chavis bolted to avoid a Tenneessee situation. He better win 9-10 games or people will be looking to run him. Anyone who says the offense will be better is purely speculating. The QB issue is dumbfounding so 6th place isn't an awful pick IMO.

Yeah there is basis behind the pick. Don't have any issue with it.

You misunderstand how the metric works. Beating aggy isn't a point of pride for LSU and isn't a barometer of success. It is expected like a win over State or Mississippi. On the contrary, LSU will know it has hit rock bottom when it loses to aggy.

Booger is an idiot. He didn't do shite at LSU but lose. What a joke. Miss state lost 17 starters. Ole Miss "choke artist". Alabama and Auburn are going to be good. Arkansas prove it!!!! Texas a&m will be lucky to get bowl eligible. 6th place my arse!!!!

I understand that Booger is not always the most positive person regarding LSU, but please take a step back with this comment.

Other than Auburn being the favorite I don't know how anybody can pick 2-7 with a straight face.

Au being the favorite is huge leap in faith for them as well. As already mentioned the finished the season losing 4 of the last 5 games. Lost starting QB, RB, WR and a few lineman on offense, lost several good players on defense and will have to learn a whole new scheme with a new coordinator.

My inner homer but still rationale has to say with the talent on roster, incoming talent and coaching staff that Bama has to be the favorite. Even with a q? At QB. Same as last year. Bama won the SEC and made the playoff with Blake Sims at QB, let that sink in some more. The current roster has some highly rated, out of HS, QBs. A lot of talent at WR to take up the slack that Amari is leaving behind, plus the defense will be better this year, especially the CB position. There is a 5* #1 rated player for each position in the secondary. The D will be legit. Then add in Coaching, not much needs to be said, it elite and provem.

After Bama I would say LSU has the next best overall roster, talent wise, then AU.

LSU defense will be very good and if the qb position works out they will be a force.

Au, high hopes at the qb position and it's Gus. He can produce an offense. But that d was shitastic last year. Just not enough talent and time for Boom to get them at the level needed. The following year, look out.

Bama , LSU and Au are the 3 most talented teams in the west. After those 3 the talent level is pretty consistently equal with MSST being at the bottom easily but they have the most experienced and top 3 qb in the league returning. My top based on starine 2 deep talent is

Bama

LSU

Au

Ole Miss/ TAMU

Ark

MSST.
